Fan made scenarios in a campaign, good idea?

By Steve Ashy, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

After playing through the Night of the Zealot campaign, I’ve downloaded several fan made scenarios and added them to extend the campaign. After playing through a few of these, we’ve wondered if it was a good idea, has one of the investigators has gone insane, and the rest are not far behind.

So was this a good idea? Maybe we should have played them as stand-alone scenarios. Has anyone done the same with fan made scenarios?

After finishing a campaign, your character is effectively crippled (or dead or insane). I find it a hard push to carry them over to a new game. Plus you know by the time I finish a campaign, I want to try out a new class/character. The core is a little different as it is comparatively brief, but you end up pretty weak.

Is it a good idea? Well it is if people are enjoying it. If people aren't then its not. Sorry to say it that way, but its a co-op, whatever is the most fun/what everyone wants to do is best. Personally, I would have played them as a string of stand-alones so I could try different investigators/decks.

Well I must admit that it is a two edged sword, because you gain quiet a bit of experience to add better cards to your deck, but on the flip side, its hard when your investigator goes insane, after investing time and experience on them.

Our gaming group is really enjoying experiencing AH:TCG, with its twists and turns, and we want to get as much enjoyment out of it as we can.
