Question on the rules. Question on the Hanger Bay events. It says under the Distinct Rule rule that you cannot use the same model. Does that mean that I could only use say a T70 model 1 time, and would that eliminate all T70 choices or could I use a different T70 model for the second. Say Poes for the first and the original Blue for the second.
Hanger Bay Event
That's not what the Distinct Rule means at all.
It means you cannot repeat any card between your two lists - i.e. you can have as many PTLs in list 1 as you want, but none in list 2.
What @thespaceinvader said.
"To play in a Hangar Bay side event, you should bring two standard squads that follow the 100-point maximum. These squads will use the same damage deck and obstacles. For the 2017 System Open Series events, we will also be using a new stipulation: the Distinct Rule states that each of your squads cannot use any of the same ship models, pilot cards, upgrade cards, or unique names as your other squad. "
However, it's also worth noting that according to the System Open 2018 briefing we may have a different rule in play next year:
"Hangar Bay tournaments are a mainstay of the System Open Series, available whenever you and seven other players are ready to blast through three rounds of Swiss play. As with previous years, you have the option to bring two squads and select your favorite after you see your opponent's available squads. If you bring two squads, however, they must adhere to the "Skilled Rule," which states that the printed pilot skill values of your pilots must be different from list to list. "
As @FTS Gecko mentioned, there is a new rule this year. That's the standard each year is they change the special "rule." It doesn't stack from year to year, it just changes.
Thanks, could one of you post a link to the new rule for this year, I cant seem to find it.

Ok, so as I read this...
Miranda and Nym can fly in one list, because they are both printed at ps8.
Miranda cannot be in list 1 and Nym in list 2.
Correct?

Sounds about right to me.
So Poe 8, Ten Numb 8, Blount 6(equip VI to make 8)
List 2 Poe 9, Nien Nunb 7, Cracken 8, but Cracken probably is not legal because of the 8s in the first list.
Haha, so how will VI and adaptability be ruled? In the @librarian101 's example, is Blount considered a 6 or an 8? And if Cracken had Adaptability, would he be a 7/9 or an 8? What if Nien was in list 1 - could Cracken be a 9 only? FFGOP, we need the deets!

"printed pilot skill values"
Since it seems to say printed, then VI and Adaptability would be after.
So, to clarify - you could have PS8 Poe with Adaptability in one list and PS9 Poe in the other, but you couldn't have PS9 Poe in both.

Cracken may not be in list two because his printed skill is 8. This conflicts with list 1.
VI or adaptability only change the game state pilot skill. They don't change the printed skill.

Correct. At least as we all are understanding the rules.
