Clear Acrylic Bases?

By Phoenix_FFG, in Mansions of Madness

Greetings, Investigators!

I'm looking to get in to Mansions of Madness 2nd Edition. One of the first things I will do after painting the miniatures is re-base them with clear circular bases. I'm curious as to what you have already done to achieve this, and what quantities you needed (I do intend on also getting Recurring Nightmares, Suppressed memories, Beyond the Threshold and Streets of Arkham, if that helps).

Thanks in advance for any advice. :)

I bought my bases from Litko. Here is the initial quantity of bases I ordered, based on a recommendation:

(50) 25mm
(25) 30mm
(25) 40mm

With these bases I was able to rebase everything from 2nd Edition, Recurring Nightmares, Suppressed Memories and Beyond the Threshold.

I used this amount:

25mm: 30 figures
30mm: 11 figures
40mm: 14 figures

I did not rebase the Star Spawn (x2), Dunwich Horror, Dark Young and Shoggoth (x2). They all stand fine on their own.

I will be opening the new expansion tonight, but it looks like I will only need a few of my left over 25mm bases, so I will not need to buy more for a long while yet. The Star Vampire and Lloigor enemies look like they can stand on their own. I need to double check the Lloigor, so it could end up needing a 40mm base.

Fantastic. Sounds great! Let me know if it goes as you say. :)

Looks like the Star Vampires and Lloigor stand fine on their own. So Streets of Arkham just needs 4x 25mm bases.

I ended up going with 25mm for everybody, unless more space is required I went with 50mm. Star Spawns actually fit on 50mm excellently, as did Riots. I'll be using a hairdryer to bring/bend/move in at least 3 limbs of the Dunwhich Horror.
