Duel mechanic kicking in. That Lion 5 could be a beast as well..

I totally misread that Kakita blade the first time around and thought it was another +2 military for duels. I like it better now that it's political. +4 to a military duel felt a little crazy.

That lighthouse is such a scary card. Getting people low enough in honor where they have to bid one, while that is in play, is going to be flat out oppressive.

All this drama about Backhanded Compliment being a negative play experiences.... If this becomes viable with a few more options for the Phoenix in the rest of the Imperial cycle the sheer lock down potential this card supports will be fantastic and soul crushing. I cant wait!

Does everyone else see how Kamayari is a bit of a double edged sword and not really compatible with Ikoma Ijiaki like it says in the article? The card text does not say "an opponents character" or even "other character". It says a character, which potentially includes the character it is attached to and all other characters in that conflict

I cant see anything in my Dragon deck nor my Phoenix deck that can match its ability. (am talking about characters only)

The ‘power’ climb of Lion and Crane remains un-abated, un-believable, un-funny.

If this is the level of stuff being released for Lion & Crane, just be excited with anticipation for what's coming for Dragon, Phoenix and everyone else! This too shall pass... but in the meantime, I'd be happy to gather your innards from the floor for you...

i dont see how its a double edged sword, it is a reaction, not a forced reaction. So you get to choose when to activate it.

Thanks for clearing that up! Would be nice to be able to 'Time for War' it into play but I certainly wont be complaining about not being given enough to play with.

5 fate, 2/6. Discard the favor: draw 3 cards, events cost 2 less for you to play this conflict.

(If we're talking about the Crane favor-discarding guy, I mean.)

If you mean from this pack, Kakita Blade from the official preview, and Kabuki Hero according to the leaked images for the pack.

I am looking forward to building lion with Ujiaki. Charge him in, use his action, and For Greater Glory everyone. Sounds like a fun play.

I mean I can see a dragon character that can literally match it word for word.

This ability is strong if you have imperial favor and for greater glory. otherwise it is just a stat boost that slightly synergizes with spiritcaller.

i think all of the discard imperial favor abilities are supposed to be op, because they are so conditional.

also if you feel the dragon cards dont have potential i would look at the stone of sorrows
