The Points System

By Anferno, in X-Wing

Hi folks,

I come from very remote place and my community is used to the hexadecimal system (base 16 numbers) for all our lives.

When I traveled to the USA, I was shocked that my points was over by 156 points?

Luckily, the community was kind to explain that they are using the decimal system (base 10).

I think FFG should clarify this in there next update of FAQ.

Many thanks!

Wait what? am gonna need to google this. I've never heard this problem.

[Edit: Read the Wiki] ok that is pretty interesting. I can imagine this is a pretty much fringe case.

I think most people would assume the standard numeral system decimal would be used.

I never noticed that Han's apparently just wearing jeans in that scene...

So the 100 Points in standard format are not binary? That declares a lot!!!

I'm so glad I was born after 1971. Pre-decimal UK money just confuses the **** out of me!

It's not that bad. Saying that my grandad made me learn how it worked as "If you don't suffer like we did, you won't appreciate how good you have it." - Grandad.

so.....yeah....

There is no point

Just look for the "0x" in the future, or lack of it. :P

Or just remember you've got 0x64 squad points.
