So I have only just gotten around to reading the new article about the Sheathipede Shuttle and I did a bit of a double take on something and I can't seem to see it being discussed elsewhere in the forums so thought I would bring it up, so sorry if I missed that and it has been discussed.
It may just be another poor FFG article with incorrect rules info but maybe I just didn’t know how strong Coordinate really is/isnt.
Here is an excerpt from the article:
"To summarize, when your Sheathipede-class shuttle performs the coordinate action, it immediate grants a free action to one of your other ships at Range 1–2. This doesn't allow a ship to perform the same action more than once, but that ship is notably not limited only to the ship's action bar or its Action upgrades. The target ship can perform any of the available actions that it hasn't already taken."
Emphasis mine.
I was under the distinct impression that Coordinate allowed the targeted ship to perform a free action that it could normally perform from its action bar our upgrades, however this sentence seems to directly contradict my understanding of coordinate.
Does this mean I can have a HWK 290 next to my Ghost that can perform a free Reinforce action, or maybe a boost or barrel roll?????
Not really a rules question as much as another mistake in an article so decided to post in the main forum.
