On top of this, I will put whatever I spend on games in my savings account next year. So if I get 2 flotilla, then I must also put $40 in my S. Account, etc. And then my FLGS has to go and restock on Armada plus offer a buy one get one 50% off sale. Why?!! And on top of this I am way behind and actually able to get where I want to be! Why now?!!!!

I came to the same realization a long time ago, but boy do our solutions look differently.

I totally embraced my inner gamer. At the UK Game Expo, after Armada EMs, I saw ONUS!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that does this!

I bought TMNT Shadows of the Past 'Works' edition. Decided I didn't like the figures, so I've been working on replacing them with HeroClix and various other miniatures. Then I decided I didn't like the tiles either, so I've started building scratch 3-D terrain tiles for it too. When and if I ever finish, the only original components I'll be using, practically, are the dice and some of the cards. All this despite the facts that I've never played a game of it and don't know anyone who's interested!

Who knows how much time, effort, and money I'll put into it and possibly never play it (a possibility of which my wife keeps reminding me). I might even find out that I don't even like it.

It sure looks like a fun game though.

Edit: Oh, yeah. Also holding out hope that my 8-year-old son will want to play it in a couple of years. I might be done with all of the related projects by then.

I've already begun the great purge. I have so much stuff I either won't get around to playing or isn't going to be touched. I'm purging my Warmachine/Hordes at the moment.

I have a black bookshelf that I keep my board games on. My new stance is for every new game I buy, I have to get rid of an old game. It's helped to make me be very critical of what I'm buying.
