Parintachin's painted thread

By Parintachin, in Imperial Assault Painting and Modification

Hullo!

After procrastinating for Way too long, I've Finally gotten my act together and bought into this one! Here's the first couple minis, my stormtroopers are just missing their bases, and I'm in the final passes on my Officers and Royal Guards.

Really looking forwards to painting more of these (o:

Also, my bases arrived this afternoon!

Classic C-3PO look there! :)

I also enjoy having clear bases.

Chugging on with my core set - I'm really pleased with my trandies (o:

These probes somewhat less so - I had a horrible time trying to get rid of that mold line on the heads. As you see, I was hardly successful.

A couple more done!

These fit my current mood very well; life has taken a turn for the worse.

I hope you get through it!

Thank you, I will, with the help of good friends, family and an immensely understanding partner.

If you want, here's the short version:
I was assaulted in a train a little over two years ago, and have chronic headaches and nausea; I have lost the ability to do my old job, and a huge number of the goals I had set for my life are now unattainable. I cannot be in a crowd. I need total quiet and rest, many hours a day. I cannot drink coffee, listen to music or watch a movie. I can Sometimes play a board game. I can paint miniatures in a quiet corner, for a while at a time.
I have a list of doctors saying I am chronically ill and unfit for work, but unfortunately I Look okay most of the time, so the people who assign help to people in this situation glibly disregard those, and wednesday basically told me to go get a job, already; there will be no more help from the public.
We used to have a really great social security net in my little country, and I have paid to that for 33 years without complaint, but now that I need it, it's pulled from under me.
Thus the hissing and snarling.

If that was oversharing, I apologise.

I am really sorry to hear that. I wish you the power and endurance to master your current situation and to find a solution eventually. Maybe you can throw in your skills and earn something on miniature painting (I am taking Sorastro as a shiny example). Your Nexus look really great. I have to admit that might be the best Nexus I've ever seen. The individual fur texture and the White paw...I really like it.

All the best and for the coming days: Merry Christmas

Thank you for the kind words Whitebubble (o:
Merry Christmas to you too.

Back to painting happier things:

And the Villain. I'm quite pleased with this one (o:

Just missing the AT-ST, and that's the starter set done; hope to be there this afternoon.

Managed to drop Fenn Signis, breaking off the tip of his gun, which is now lost somewhere in the grass in the yard, three stories down ..

So, he got repairs - a supressor seemed fitting:

I must say he looks much better now. I also hope your doing better now!

Thank you. Physically, no better, but I'm at least calmer now. They cannot kill me, try as they might.

And finally: The AT-ST!
This one was especially fun to do; I loved dirtying it up and make it look used and grimy; the caution and 'no step' markings are an afterthought, but I think they work quite well (o:

Thats the spirit! Love the at-st! I might’ve already asked you but will you be getting into legion? You certainly have the painting skill.

As far as I Know, all I have is this one life. I will milk it for as much love and fun as I can, and I will keep on doing that until I die.
And nobody is going to take that from me.

As for Legion? Nah. I do IA for the campaigns; I have Plenty of battle games already. I might get a few of the miniatures along the road, but as they don't fit the scale, they're just going to be for the painting.
