I just, finally, picked up a copy of EotE Far Horizons, and in my reading I noticed that it mentions that Grans may inherit a recessive gene that mutate their hands and feet (Inset story on pg18). Does anyone know anymore about it? Maybe similar to the sub-species of Aqualish, with different hand types that don't seem to affect "tool" usage?

I think this was a retcon to explain why Ree-Yees has such enormous hands in ROTJ, but the Gran in the Prequels have relatively human-like hands.
