Sensible number of Jawa figures

By Master Wang, in Imperial Assault Campaign

If you're playing campaign, what would be a sensible number to get? I am thinking about what I am missing from my IA collection, and these little guys are a clear gap.

In the campaign you can only have one regular and one elite Jawa Scavenger at the same time (i.e. two packs worth of figures).

Practically though, once threat level is 3, you would probably use Jawa Scavenger only, and never both. (Unless you purchase the Jawa Raid agenda card. Then you might have both in the same mission.) So, one pack would be the sensible number for the campaign.

Thanks.

I agree, the regular jawa isnt that good. Id rather have an officer. But the elite Jawa is fantastic, easily the best 3 cost unit in game.

I gotta admit that I underestimate the Jawa Scavenger but maaaaan, he is goood.

Yep. Jawa Scavenger surpassed Dewback Rider as my favorite. Works well with various imperial classes as well.

Sorry for hijacking the thread, but here's a somewhat related question. Can onyone here, who possess a greater mind for mechanics and math than I do, see any reason why there's a 2-group cap on things like the Jawas? Or, why one aren't allowed to field 4 Stormtrooper groups even though one might buy the extra Stormtrooper blister pack? (Ok, 4 stormies groups could possibly cause a problem with some Stormtrooper-specific synergy effects, so I sort of understands that, but the other stuff?) Is it just an "on principle" thing, or are there actual balance issues at play in regards to, say... fielding 3 Jawa groups or... 2 regular HK droid groups or whatever? Are the rules-makes just being difficult here? ;)

Thanks.

Different groups interact differently with different class decks and agenda cards.

Something like Hired Help and 4 regular Weequay Pirate groups (3 threat each) would be pretty powerful. Or Inspiring Leadership (esp. Lead by Example) and two Imperial Officer groups.

Or two Jawa Scavengers giving friendly Droids +2 Speed and +2 Accuracy, and Haggling twice per round.

Most missions have a fairly small number of open groups so you'd very rarely even be able to take 2 Jawas as you just wouldn't be able to put enough fire power on the board. HotE seems to be a bit of an exception, generally giving you an extra open group over similar missions in earlier campaigns, but even still taking more than 1 Jawa would be pushing it.
