Bloody Green Wolves idea

By Artemus Maximus, in Warhammer Invasion Deck Building

trying to make a chaotic orky deck-

3 savage marauders

3 chaos knights

3 bloodthirster

3 brutal offering

3 spider riders

2 grimgor ironhide

3 ironclaw's horde

3 wolf rider assault

3 pillage

3 troll vomit

3 rip dere 'eads off!

2 smash 'em all!

2 pilgrimage

3 warpstone excavation

3 contested village

3 alliane (chaos/orc)

2 forgotten cemetary

2 pilgrimage

2 prepare for war!

so you play as such -

bloodthirster & grimgor down as developments (the latter sometimes in quest) -> troll vomit -> rip dere 'eads off to bring into play with no one to defend. if you have wolf rider assault, grimgor can go into quest and moved into BZ. if you somehow have resources left, pilgrimage or brutal offering the guy.

brutal offering on one of your big guys -> attack with wolves of north questing unit and/or wolf rider assaulted unit to BZ. problem is that spider riders is best i can think of lol need something like savage marauders in green...

or brutal offering -> rip dere 'eads off with BZ bloodthirster as devel...i just like how it can loop :)

pillage & orc quest for support control, neutral supports for resources, prepare for war to get key combo cards back in deck.

needs work, but thoughts? i apologize if this has been posted already but didn't have time to search. would appreciate thoughts, suggestions, criticism, etc. ty

I think Chaos/Orc is a very strong deck, and quite a bit better than the Chaos/DE that seems to be the popular Chaos build (not to say that deck doesn't have its charms). There are a number of ways you can go with it, but I see a couple of problems with your build:

-Too many quests for the number of guys you have. (I assume Pilgrimage #3 and 4 are supposed to be Wolves of the North, since you mention it in your strat?) Six quests is a bunch for any deck, and here you have very few guys, not to mention Troll Vomit will reset your Quests whenever you play it. You do kind of need their loyalty symbols, though, so replace them with other things that stick around. Prepare for War is probably the one quest worth keeping, since you could very easily find yourself in control, but without enough guys to win the game.

-Wolf Rider Assault only works on Orcs. You don't want to put Spider Riders in Quest, even with Wolves. That makes Grimgor your only target for this card. Speaking of Grimgor, he's going to be tough to play without Rip, which you'd rather use on BTs; I think Ugrock is a better call.

-Brutal Offering is a strange card. If you play guys like Boar Boyz and Bloodsworn, you can use it as weenie control. And, as you mention, it's good with Rip (you can also Offer a Ripped unit, so you can hit big guys via Ironclaw's Horde or BT). It's very much a stall-control card, though, rather than a lock-down control like Troll Vomit or Verena can be, so you definitely want to build your deck for the long haul.

Hope that helps! Good luck!

thanks cyberfunk-

sorry the orc quest shouldnt be there and Wolves of the North should be there instead.

Nurgle's Pestilence should be there as well. That with Brutal Offering to control somewhat a rush deck.

i know i need more orcs in there but not sure what...put in spider riders because they cost 1, can be moved, but something with actual power would be better i agree if its in quest. the current options aren't anything appealing to me unless i'm not seeing something...i guess black orc squad, squig herders, boar boyz would fit as they would get through pestilence and remove savage marauders maybe?

Lobber Crew can be used to add power to your kingdom and has a nifty ability if you wanted to use it.

Also, although you don't play skaven, you can throw in a Greyseer or two that you can place in the quest zone and still attack with.

yeah i like skaven esp greyseer for attacking from QZ, and clan rats there or KZ could help w/ resources but subjected to pestilence...lobber crew is a good idea thanks

I also think, that like many others in here, you have a case of "50-card-itis" - don't worry about limiting your deck-size so much. Free yourself up to be a bit more versatile with your build. It looks pretty decent as it is but like anything that's posted here, we can all find tweaks that each of us would prefer. :)

Good luck, I like your deck!
