[V. Important] What is the Flight Assist Astro plugged into?

By Babaganoosh, in X-Wing

Just to clarify, I'm pretty sure most of us saying it's a speeder or something do realize that it's supposed to be an X-Wing; we're just making fun of how non-X-Wing it looks.

It's the "most" part that scares me.

I presume it's flying at a speed faster than the Kessel Run. Everyone knows that at that speeds the light diffracts off the ship in weird angles and makes things look invisible.

I don't even like X-Wings much but I know them enough to know the angle is a 45 degree one. Here. Have a film shot.

Sorry, I worded poorly, this is what I meant. The picture is awful and the window should be bent, but in the card art it is not.

Oh sure the card art isn't correct, that much is 100% true, but it IS identifiably an X-Wing.

I always wondered what the massive random gear just behind the droid is...

It’s so the LEGO set can open the wings into attack mode!

(I think the UCS model had this setup. Maybe the 03-04 kit. Nowadays they put it in the back of the ship.)

It’s a tiny ARC reactor. Tony Stark designed all the Rebel ships. That’s why they have gold squadron and red squadron (to match his armor)

Edit: Ninja’d! I actually like the LEGO explaination better.

Well Phienas and Ferb already had an avengers episode and a Star Wars episode... so I figure it’s only a matter of time before they have a cross over comic/ tv episode with another series.

I can see what you're saying and it does look kinda janky.

100% an X-wing though. @Captain Lackwit is right.

Biggs needed to feel the wind in his moustache one last time. He wanted to smell the charred remains of womprats wafting through Beggar's Canyon like the good old days.

Could the Spoiler modification be the fabled X-wing Fix? I'm thinking YES!

Spoiler (-2 points)

Modification. X-wing only.

You may equip two other modifications that have a listed cost of '0'. After you perform an action, you may perform any other action in the game, then assign two stress tokens to all ships on the board that did not appear in the Original Trilogy. All friendly pilots named 'Wedge Antilles' or 'Luke Skywalker' may roll three extra attack dice when attacking or defending. Action: Flip this card to open and close your S-foils in the middle of a dog fight like a moronic bird flapping its wings.

...then, if your name is @Captain Lackwit, receive one stress.

Why is a bird flapping its wings considered moronic? If it didn't, wouldn't it fall out of the sky (depending on the type of bird, I guess. Some are better at gliding than others).

It's a toaster.

<sigh> We really need ewok-proof hatches on the fighters.
