Genesys Multiverse Roleplay

By Johan Marek Phoenix Knight, in Genesys

Do you guys think Genesys would work for a multiverse roleplaying campaign? I have fiddled with creating my own multiverse of sorts, kind of like Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere mixed with comic-book style parallel earths for years, and I have long looked for a system that would be able to manage such a campaign. From what little they seem to be willing to tell us, it seems like Genesys could be exactly that. What do you guys think? Also, what would be your thoughts on a multiverse-style campaign, where Steampunk sky pirates, Sci-Fi star captains, Fantasy wizards, Modern special ops agents, and other crazy combinations can all meet and fight alongside one another while hopping from world to world? Do you think a campaign like that could work?

Sounds awesome! I'd do it with any system, but this one sounds especially suitable.

sounds like GURPS default setting of Infinite Worlds: http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/books/infiniteworlds/ Even if you don't use GURPS, their settings books are usually a pretty solid buy.

Yes. Every time they they hope they deal with different problems. Maybe one world guns stop working, or steam punk tech or magic. This could be very interesting to run if you had a group will to go through those kind go shenanigans

It would be so fun! Each world has its own rules that the characters have to learn, with new challenges and difficulties to face at every turn.

I'm flashing to Grimjack and Cinosure now too.
