My understanding is the primary imbibers of non-alcoholic beer are pregnant women and ex-alcoholics who miss the taste but are determined to stay sober (and good on them, might I add!). I'm not a fan of beer in general (most other alcoholic drinks are fine), but I'm told by people who are that they genuinely like the taste and miss it with particular foods - usually greasy stuff like pizza and pub food and the like. Non-alcoholic beer gets you the taste without the alcohol*.
*It ends up having some alcohol in it but less than a cup of yogurt, so... basically for the intent of what we mean by "alcoholic drink," it's non-alcoholic even if that's not technically correct.
