What happens if you defeat one of the special cultists in this scenario just by killing them - do they still get added to the victory display?

Clearly they aren't in the Cultist Deck or in play, but it doesn't seem clear if they still count as interrogated.

Yep! They are still "interrogated". Just pretend you beat it out of them.

For some bizarre reason, I read the cards and "decided" that the "only" way to deal with them was by the Parley option, and that just whupping on them was "wrong".
Why, I have no idea. I shall however blame it on some mysterious SAN loss and get back to playing.

I made the same mistake my first time through. It's much less oppressive when you can just shoot them lol.

Only it took me playing solo more than a few times until my friend did it when I finally got him to play and I just stared at the table and jumped here to ask.
