... and SoT changes the original revealed manoeuvre, or Hera/Bobagator wouldn't work. There's precedent on my side, not on yours.

It needs FAQ either way though.

By definition, once you change the revealed maneuver, the new maneuver is not the "original".

By that definition, Bobagator doesn't work.

And it does work, so that definition must be wrong.

There's no reference to revealed maneuver in the effect of Boba or Navigator, revealing a maneuver is just the opportunity.

Which is the manouevre being referred to by them, if not the one that was revealed?

The maneuver on the dial. Reveal is the trigger, but the abilities just care what's on the dial when they're being resolved.

How do you know what 'the other' manouevre is if you don't know what the original one was though? How do you know what the same bearing is if you don't know what the original was?

If the dial shows a left bank, the other is a right and vice versa. For Navigator, the new bearing needs to be the same as what is currently on the dial. Neither ability cares what was revealed, per se, they work on the dial as it exists currently.

At this point it's clear neither of us is willing to be persuaded, so perhaps we can just agree to differ and submit the question to FFG...

They don't seem to answer rules questions anymore, so this may be unresolved for a while. :)

I wouldn't expect an answer, I'd expect to get it on the radar of things that need FAQing.

It would be a pretty strong combination if it works, except that Dalan is PS6. The best use of SoT is when you move after the opponent and at PS6 that is highly unlikely vs. the ships you really want to outmaneuver, so I wouldn't say this would be a meta changing combo in the least.
