Wow. I’ve seen a lot of ugly ships out there. But this..........

also did anyone notice how the dishes on the front look conspicuously like the one on the Millenium Falcon in the OT?

I would love to see these in the next wave.

Well, since X-wing is pulling from video game sources, why not Armada?

Modified Corvettes, Corellian Gunships, Nebulon-B2 frigates, Dreadnaughts! Carrick Cruisers! Mon Cal Light Cruisers! Marauder corvettes!

It seems that someone has been re-canonized...

What will the next wave bring?

Disappointment.

Kinda sad a wave 8 thread started that long ago & we still have no clue if there even will be a wave 8, let alone what it is... Sad face.

What's sad is that it has taken so long to get here we have completely stopped even wondering. This is the risk of letting too much time generate between waves. People just kinda stop caring.

We got another legion announcement today. This is killing me.

Still holds true today

Will not matter if Wave Wait gets announced soon or not. With the current trade war going on, I doubt anything will be getting shipped this year. May not even get printed/made.

This here is a legitimate concern that should have everyone worried. This will effect more than just Armada too.

Also, where will armada get it's inspiration now that rebels is finished.

It took ships from the show since wave 3, wich is also a reason why armada could slow down.

Are miniatures included in the tariffs, or am I missing something?

After the Executor, Braha'tok, Venator, and Dreadnaught-class Heavy Cruisers (OT or Rebels ships), they could easily pull more from Empire at War. There is still the Acclamator, Tartan Patrol Cruiser, Broadside Cruiser, or the Corellian Gunship, just to name a few.

Not so much a matter of minis being included as it is the supplies used and a potential reduction in shipping. The boats don't go until filled and I have serious doubts that ffg can fill an entire container ship, let alone a yt-1300.

What will wave 8 bring. Another Legion expansion... Wait it's here already.

Palpatine...

Thankfully our ships are made of plastic, rather than steel & aluminum. I really don't think that the trade war has anything to do with our wave shortage.

Our product category is very niche, while the trade war seems to be targeting industrial commodities/industries. While the Chinese (and, soon, the Europeans) may target strategic goods - such as bourbon and Harley Davidsons - those barriers will deal with goods coming from the United States, while FFG deals with products headed to the US. If there were swing states in which the administration could prop up an army of out-of-work miniatures manufacturers, there might be a threat.

EDIT:
Of course, the news just coming out is saying that the United States' tariffs are going to be a lot less discriminate than they have been. So, perhaps our products might be hit by them. FFG might have to raise its prices or eat some of their margin. Who knows, but these developments are all very recent, whereas FFG's production timeline is much longer than that.

The biggest gaming industry freak out we’re seeing right now is M:TG in Canada, as it comes under the “playing cards” tariff.

IPV for empire, to fill the cheap small slot in Imperial.

Rebels still need another medium.

SSD is still coming as a stand alone Epic scale expansion. SWM20IS THE SSD!

So, should I quit my job and become an MtG smuggler?

Or, better yet, should I use my current job in the transportation industry to stuff freight bound for Canada with MtG in hidden containers?

Of course, that may mean having to take a loan out from some corpulent crime lord from the desert, who will then send his ruffians after me when I am forced to dump my cargo before being checked by customs enforcement. Still, who knows, I might try to make some extra money by offering a ride to some old guy and a kid, who later turns out to be Mike Pence's love child.

Bad economic times helped kill Axis and Allies miniatures. Right after the recession in 2008, the plastic manufacturers started charging higher prices and they raised booster prices a couple times but then there was a set which no one bought a ton of (at least for War at Sea) and it was the death knell.

I'd love to see any of the following to be honest:

Koensayr Manufacturing K-wing Assault Starfighter Squadron

Incom Corporation X4 Gunship

SoroSuub Corporation Dauntless-class Heavy Cruiser

SoroSuub Corporation Liberator-class Cruiser

Mon Calamari Shipyards MC40a Light Cruiser

Republic Sienar Systems Marauder-class Corvette

Mandal Hypernautics Crusader-class Corvette

Mandal Hypernautics Keldabe-class Battleship

Cygnus Spaceworks Alpha-class Xg-1 Star Wing Squadron

Damorian Manufacturing Corporation[ Tartan-class Patrol Cruiser

Damorian Manufacturing Corporation Carrack-class Light Cruiser

Kuat Drive Yards Ton-Falk-class Escort Carrier

Kuat Drive Yards VT-49 Decimator

Loronar Corporation Strike-class Medium Cruiser

Kuat Drive Yards Lancer-class Frigate
