Multiple Harpoons

By zhentil, in X-Wing

Okay, so now, I have 3 ships with Harpoon Missiles. Opponent has Poe and 2 other ships within range 1.

1. First Ship shoots and hit's Poe, Poe then gets condition card Harpooned

2. Second Ship shoots and hits Poe then gets 2nd Harpooned condition card. right

3. Third Ship shoots and hits Poe again, BUT with a crit. SOOOOO Ship A and B both take 2 damage and Poe surviving the intial attack, now will take 2 extra damage cards which destroy him. So then, Ships A and B both take another 2 damage.

Am i right on all of this. I am just trying to get the timing of everything corrected.

No.

Assuming the condition can be stacked, which I think we are right now, you crit Poe after he's got both, he takes 2 face down, the ships at range 1 of him take a damage for each harpoon, then both conditions are discarded. OR you kill him without ever landing another crit, and the ships at range 1 take a damage when he dies.

The on-crit effect and the on-death effect are mutually exclusive.

Look at what the card says.

“...Discard this card and receive 1 facedown Damage card.“

So the condition is already discarded when you determine that Poe was destroyed

The condition self discard was written in there pretty explicitly to prevent splash stacking

Okay, i get that, so either or will happen. NOT both. BUT with stacking conditions i guess we will see. If you CAN'T stack your best best is to Get one on, then try and crit the next one so the first one goes away replace by the second and hopefully do the same with the third. make sense
