What’s a good YT-1300 + T-65 list?

By drail14me, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Looking for a good fun casual YT-1300 + T-65 list. What ya got?

FUN LIST

Swap Lando for C3PO and Chewie for Rey to get VI for that sweet cruise missile :)

Han Solo — YT-1300 46
Adaptability 0
Cruise Missiles 3
Chewbacca 4
Lando Calrissian 3
Engine Upgrade 4
Millennium Falcon 1
Ship Total: 61
Luke Skywalker — X-Wing 28
Predator 3
R2-D2 4
Engine Upgrade 4
Ship Total: 39

Lando is probably the most fun card in the game though and Chewie is there just in case Kylo decides to get emo and try to take down pops.

I dont always fly Rebels.

But when I do.

I fly movie stuff.

Han and Luke is pretty much an awesome YT + T65 list

Han & Luke is classic. My preferred kit is Han with Expertise, MF(evade), Gunner, Hotshot Copilot, Engine Upgrade; Luke with Lone Wolf (defensive rerolls with soft-focus is soooo sweet), R2-D2, and Vectored Thrusters.

Alternately, go with the folks who took out the second Death Star. I think it's probably not that great, but it's kinda cool.

Wedge Antilles [R2 Astromech, Proton Torpedoes, Predator, Vectored Thrusters] (39)

Lando Calrissian [Predator, Concussion Missiles, Nien Nunb, Operations Specialist, Millennium Falcon (Evade Version), Engine Upgrade] (60)

The problem is you ideally want Lando to move afterwards, so Veteran Instincts would be ideal. Nien is a great choice (many free actions) but with a PS9 Falcon able to move at speed, maybe cruise missiles (+ smuggling compartments, scavenger crane, guidance chips) might give you more punch?

That Han & Luke build looks nasty, though. Hotshot Copilot & Gunner is a pretty brutal combination It's just a shame Luke can't also take integrated astromech.

I'm not sure operations specialist is great in a squad with only 2 attackers.

  • Chewbacca
    • Millenium Falcon (Millenium Falcon Version)
    • Expertise
    • Gunner
    • C-3PO
    • Engine Upgrade
  • Wedge Antilles
    • Expertise
    • Proton Torpedoes
    • R7-T1
    • Integrated Astromech
  • 1 Point Initiative Bid

Had some success with variations of this:

Luke Skywalker [R2-D2, Expertise, Vectored Thrusters] (38)

Han Solo [Expertise, Chewbacca, Navigator, Millennium Falcon (Evade Version), Engine Upgrade] (62)

You can run 3po instead of Navigator for extra defense, but with all the ps11 out there, I like looking at my opponent's dial ;)

I agree that Han and Luke are probably the best combo, but if you aren't restricting yourself to one T65 you could have something like this:

Chewbacca - Push the Limit, Kyle Katarn, C3-PO, Millenium Falcon (original title)

Red Squadron Pilot - R2 Astromech, Integrated Astromech

Red Squadron Pilot - R2 Astromech, Integrated Astromech

Total = 100pts

Went for the Red Squadron Pilots so they have the edge on some of the low-PS named pilots (Jess Pava, Torkil, Braylam, etc), but you could swap them both for Rookie Pilots and have enough points to give Chewbacca an Engine Upgrade.

I like this list. Very thematic and fun, I think. I wanted to put Han in the Falcon but I needed like Landon pilot ability.

All true. Technically, the list was a part of a build for a 130 pt Lando/Wedge/Tycho second-Death Star theme game, where I feel some cards like Nien, Engine Upgrade, and R2 Astromech are must-take for thematic reasons. I was kind of feeling Lando might lack offense, thus Predator.

That Expertise/R7-T1 Wedge looks pretty killer.

If you've got the points and aren't taking things too seriously, you can even crank advanced proton torpedoes in there. Given that you need to be in range 2 to trigger R7-T1, triggering R7-T1 as an action gives you a boost, a target lock, and Expertise gives you a focus, giving you a -1-agility-to-the-target, 5 dice, 3-blank-to-focus, PS9 brick to the face to open the combat phase with.

When I first started playing my favorite list was the Wookies and the Rookies.

I’ve updated it slightly. It’s not good but it’s cool.

Wookies and Rookies (100)

Chewbacca (56) - YT-1300
Predator (3), Gunner (5), C-3PO (3), Millennium Falcon (1), Smuggling Compartment (0), Rigged Cargo Chute (1), Tactical Jammer (1)

Rookie Pilot (22) - X-Wing
R2 Astromech (1), Integrated Astromech (0)

Rookie Pilot (22) - X-Wing
R2 Astromech (1), Integrated Astromech (0)

And, of course, that'd work fairly well with either variation of Chewie; if the original, you've got one heck of a tough turret that your opponent won't want to spend time trying to kill whilst he's got a pair of X-wings tearing into his flank, with the other, you can use the X-wings very aggressively, because if he kills one you get extra shots with Chewie....
