I've been interested in how the meta of X-Wing Miniatures has molded and changed throughout the course of it's history, and how after every new release it morphs into a new one. For example when K-wing's were released they created a boom in bombs and the Imperial Raider created the P
alp
aces. But even though the meta changes constantly there are those ships that still strive through. However there have been numerous ships that have been left behind, I wouldn't say "Forgotten" but disregarded. The most significant that comes to mind is obviously the Bwing and the T-65 X-wing. People's opinions will often varie, regarding if a said ship is "Meta Dead" or not. So, I have created this thread for people to present their ship they believe is too weak to survive the current meta and how to buff them with a custom, Ship Specific Upgrade.
- Really looking forward to the various entries

"Meta Dead" Ships & How To Fix Them

That's usually the other way around.
I’m not feeling super inspired on creating “fix” cards today, but I wanted to say that your username is highly appropriate for your first topic! Welcome to the forums!

Would you care to explain?

Bombs usually create the booms.
I think it would be fun to see a TIE Punisher fix that played off its ability to carry a lot of munitions, in a sort of high risk/high reward sort of way.

Adaptable Loadout
TIE Punisher only. Modification
Increase your primary weapon value by 1 for each discarded <missile> upgrade card.
Increase your agility value by 1 for each discarded <torpedo> upgrade card.
Each time you discard a <bomb> upgrade card, place a shield token on this ship (this ship may have more shield tokens than its printed shield value).

Guess you could take that even further: In case of the K-Wing, the release of better bomb options (Sabine!) created a boom in K-Wings.
Back to topic, though. I come from a mostly imperial perspective, so to me "forgotten" ships besides the Punisher (poor Punisher) concerns mostly the Imperial Firespray. I actually like to toy around with it every once in a while, and I'd just like to see some imperial-exclusive Crew options, so that they feel distinct from Scum-Sprays.
Otherwise, I guess I'm seeing less Adv. Prototypes, Interceptors and other squirelly little buggers, but their niche is actually very well filled. For those to force their way back onto tables, I guess it's more of a thing about making attacks out of arc less dangerous.
