How to Remind Myself

A few weeks ago I played a casual game against a friend. I played almost the entire game before I remembered that the card I was using was nerfed. I explained my error and forfeited the game but it bugs me.

Does anyone have a good way to attach some kind of reminder to FAQ'd cards that won't damage the cards?

Fly casual.

there are sleeves for cards I know. You can put a dot on the sleeve as a reminder it was faq'd

Casual game: don't worry about the "nerf" because who wins really shouldn't matter.

Competitively: I guess it's as much your opponent's responsibility to make sure everything, including your stuff, is being played correctly. Those marked sleeves may be appropriate of course.

Sleeve your cards and:

- Low budget / time: print out the new text and put it in the sleeve over the old text

- Medium budget / time: use a card editor (Strange Aeon, I think) and use it to recreate the card with the correct text, print it out and put it in the sleeve. You can put it on the back of the card so you can quickly flip it and show the original if someone is about to get on their high horse.

I use the power of sleeves in many fashions, one of which is to have an alternate art on the back of the cards of my damage deck. No one has accidentally used one of my damage cards in a competition since I did that ;)

I'm in the process of marking my cards. Red dots for errata and yellow for clarification. The cards are sleeved so there's no worry about someone claiming altered cards. Very cheap to do.

Sleeve the card and write on the sleeve.
