:( If they make an animated Thor movie with Jane Foster as Thor is SHE qualified as a movie princess then? Please tell me yes, I'd love Thor being a disney princess

The requirements are:

  1. The character must be human, or human-like in the case of Ariel and formerly Tinker Bell.
  2. The character must have a primary role in an animated Disney/Pixar film.
  3. The character must not have been introduced in a sequel.
  4. The character must have either been born royal, married royal, or have performed an act of heroism.

Aside from these, the character would have to be female, naturally, which would disqualify Thor. Otherwise, Thor fits the criterion above. If they decided to make Thor female, then the final, unofficial criterion is box office success. Thor would have to make enough money to rival the income of the other princesses, but not so much as to outstrip them, such as Elsa and Anna, who have made so much money that they are not princess because that would be beneath them.

They can't. One of the rules for Disney Princesses is that the subject must be human. Another is that she must be a lead in a non-sequel/non-prequel movie. . . I think said movie must also be animated, but I don't remember.

So no xenomorph qualifies.

But dose not the sheer absurdity of the concept give you even a small laugh?

Well I've never watched Alien, so I have no idea what a Xenomorph is. Assuming it is some vicious alien that enjoys killing humans and is ugly (I may have seen pictures of it, if it is what I think it is), then sure, I can get a small laugh out of the idea.

First: Mission accomplished, humor is the best thing for coping with life.

Second: WHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT??!?!?!?!!?!?!?!!?!??!?!?!?!?!!?! Youve got to see alien and aliens, good movies.

Eh, I tend to only watch comedies, and I avoid horror/thriller movies like the plague. I gather the Alien series is one of these, is it not?

Well alien is horror. Aliens is action. I woukd say leave the movies after thise alone unless you like the B movie feel. If you do go nuts.

YOU HAVE TO WATCH ALIEN!!! You've been watching movies and TV for years without getting all of the facehugger and chestburster references. I can't even imagine that.

Calm down, we will fill his inner cavities with parasitic alien joy soon enough.

@GhostofNobodyInParticular aliens is such a quoteable movie. I will be pleased when you hear the 'game over man' line or the 'why don't you just put her in charge' lines and many more any you'll get a laugh. Also the diner scene in space balls will become waaaaaaay funnier.

As soon as you mentioned cavities and bursting forth I thought of that scene, and realized its significance. It did make me chuckle some more. . . :)

But is the humor of recognized references worth the short-term discomfort of the horror movie?

Well...that is a matter for debate. It's either pure nightmare fuel, or an enjoyable experience. Either way it's widely considered THE SciFi horror movie. When I first saw it I was waaay to young so, nightmare fuel. I watched it again as an adult I found it enjoyable. I really think it's all up to the viewer, Alien is a truly immersive film and if you can handle the scares it's very rewarding. It's a good movie, but it dose it's job if horror well, probably better than 99% of other movies in that genera. It's hard to say if you'll like it. I'm not really a horror buff either, but it was to me worth it.

I gotta admit it scared the h*** out of me when I saw it as a kid but I loved it even back then. Everything Noosh said about it is true. I highly advise checking it out.

OK then. If I have time, I shall get around to it. You recommended a TV show to me too, IIRC. That also is added to my list. It's a long list though, so I can't guarantee I shall watch either of them soon , but upon your recommendations, I shall strive to do so at some point.

The show was Myster Science Theater 3000. I just hope your soon is faster than FFG's soon.

:) It may not be, as I have limited time and an extensive list, but I shall see if I can bump these two to the priority queue.

I guess me and @Megatronrex are turning into you personal siskel and ebert. Two thumbs up.

I am looking forward to how/if they try to integrate the X-Men and FF into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

I think that xmen depends on Hugh Jackman. I believe he owns that..I think.

As I understand it Hugh Jackman is done playing Wolverine. He was going to have to be replaced either way but now that whole series will probably be getting a reboot. I think it would be simple enough to add the FF, and more importantly their villains, to the current universe but they've pushed the Inhumans into the role that the X-Men held in the comics so I don't know how they'll shoehorn them into things.

YESSS!!! Marvel owns now all characters but spidey, but they have a deal for that, SO NOW THEY CAN MAKE THE MCU COMPLETE!!

Alien, Predator, Avatar, Percy Jackson AND FIREFLY are all now owned by disney, you know what this means? A SHITLOAD OF MONEY WHEN THEY MAKE FIREFLY SEASON 2 AND AN ACTUALLY DECENT PERCY JACKSON SERIES!!!

AND THEN THE STAR WARS ORIGINAL TRILOGY THIS IS THE BEST DEAL OF THE WHOLE YEAR

OH S***! I hadn't even thought of that. Please, please, please, oh great Mouse please make this happen.

Yes bring me the original cut if the film, untampered by the Lucas. No more God awful cgi. Han will shoot first, and greedo will blasted like a chump firing NOTHING! NO EXTRA NOOOOOOOOOES! LORD help me, I'm getting the vapors.

On xmen I meant he litterally owns the movie rights, I think.

@GhostofNobodyInParticular Please tell me you have watched Firefly.

:D And Serenity. I want to watch them again, but they are still too fresh in my memory, so I'm waiting for the memories to fade. Trouble is, I keep remembering bits I liked, so that may take a while. Thanks to @geek19 for introducing it to me. In a thread once he referenced 'I'm a leaf in the wind', and I looked it up and was hooked.

Edit: Read the comics too, such as I could find.
