Gotta say, I’m surprised by all the votes for Predator. It’s been months since I’ve seen that card on the table, I think mostly because you rarely get two rerolls out o it.
What is the best EPT?

Kylo with Hux, Wired, Recon, Weapons Guidance is crazy if you hold on to that stress. But with such a red dial, the Upsilon doesn't need the stress from Hux all that much...
I don't get how Recon [Specialist] and Hux work together. RecSpec works on a focus action, Hux isn't a focus action.

It's good even for one reroll. On many attacks, its as good as a target lock.

Arvel with an native EPT would see Intimidation more often in play and Arvel would see more play too. Outmaneuver would be indeed a great game mechanic for all those 2 dice primary ships. It just stupidly expensive and would be great as basic game mechanic like range 3 or obstructed extra dice are.
I wonder what the game would be like if this was a thing:
I feel like the Inquisitor might be the _big_ winner, with Quickdraw and/or Backdraft as runners up. PTL A-Wings would also love this upgrade. Z-95s might enjoy it as well.
If there's a draft 2 of this card, it will change "to a minimum of 0" to "to a minimum of 1", because B-Wings need love, too.
Juke Inquisitor with that card would be hilariously strong.

Maybe? Inquisitor _really_ like PTL. And at PS8, he likes to get a reposition action as well as the target lock. Indeed, without that reposition action, he's probably not getting outmaneuver off very often.
Yeah that's a missile card... so you could have PTL and that psycho outmaneuver....
Favourite upgrade card in the game

It's been largely eclipsed by Expertise tbh. Because you can get full refills from your action but not from your EPT.

Attanni
was
the strongest, hands down. In 100/6 is was highly effective at taking the skill of blocking out of the game, and let many lists fly however they wanted to fly.
Predator has been fantastic since its release - perhaps doubling a standard 3-die + focus attack's output.
Expertise remains fantastic, but it's limited to double-tap ships and Rey, so it's kind of a niche upgrade.
Crack Shot is brutal - especially on an unguided rockets Tomax, and if swarms didn't suck for other reasons, it'd still be a staple upgrade.
Veteran Instincts is a card that was useful upon release - PS-killing is important, but Fat Turret Arc-Dodgers like RAC and Han have really shaped the meta over the years.
However, I believe that the top place goes to Lone Wolf. It's Predator, doubled in output. Dash is the classic carrier, and with it and Rey/RecSpec he can shrug off almost any shot - if he's behind a debris for AGI 3 he can even tank TLTs pretty happily. It's efficiency is off the charts - provided you can proc it.

I actually had a lot of fun with this on TIE/D Maarek Stele, even though I know it's objectively worse than Expertise.
My favourites are Expertise and Push the Limit. The cards I'd love if I could fly well enough to get them to work are Lone Wolf and Outmaneuver. But I haven't tried most EPTs yet. Intimidation seems like it might be fun. I'd probably enjoy Elusiveness if it weren't so inhibiting.

Loophole: The Outrider. It does not use it's primary weapons but the attack value is 2. Granted, Dash would rarely get some one in his actual arc, but when he does, with that upgrade, they will be hurting. For a no cost upgrade on the Outrider, it would be an easy take. Rarely is the missile slot used on the YT-2400 anyways.
Edited by JadotchIt seems like the ships which most often carry Expertise are ones which have sources of rerolls without spending actions. Crew Dengar, K4 Security Droid, pilot Rey, Colonel Vessery. At least for me, once I need to take an action to get my rerolls, I'd rather take Predator or Lone Wolf, since I'd rather spend my actions on Focus than on TL for flexibility.
Lone Wolf is indeed very strong, but it's hard to use in a lot of lists. Table geometry often can work hard against it, despite being the so good on paper.
I've been loving Outmaneuver on TIE Defenders recently. So much fun. Intensity is a sleeper Defender pick, too. It roughly lets you trade an evade token (which you get for free every turn) for a barrel roll. Considering the few "usable" moves on the Defender dial, I think it helps a lot.
Expertise is by the far the best currently & it should be nerfed. It is auto-include on many builds, and not in a good way. (PTL on Soontir is fine)
Intensity is my favorite EPT & it's fair and balanced. What a concept!

Huh. Thanks for the tips. Never thought of Outmaneuver on a Defender.

Oh dang! I should probably make it either primary attack only (to avoid bomber proton torp shenanigans...), or small ship only, or both.

wait, what?
Did I miss a meeting of the FAQ council on this?
Predator seems to find its way onto things.

No, Expert Handling doesn't work whilst you're stressed.
