what heroes to use?

As for Davith, i used to advocate using other weapons instead, but I have found that Shouded Lightsaber has the best synergy with Falling Leaf and the 4xp that gives an extra attack for 2 surges.

And it lets you save those precious, precious credits

Thing is, I really think that Davith should be used as a single target dps, not really caring about cleave.

Hidden as a defensive condition is underwhelming at best, but when you start hidden, with shrouded lightsaber, falling leaf, covert operative, high impact guard which is only 750 credits and 6 xp, you can move up to 8 spaces and casually one shot an Elite E-Web without really caring about dice rolls. Not many heroes can do that so early.

First, that is 7 XP. Second, 1 green 2 yellow +surge isn't going to "casually one-shot" an eEngineer. You'd need a good roll, with 47% likelyhood, to get the kill, usually leaving you strained out and not hidden.

Cleave and Reach are very useful. You can give both to the shrouded but you're better off starting with a weapon that has them and adding something else.

E. E web with its 1 block is probably not the best metric, but 8hp is common.

With hilt+guard, you have 33% chance to do 8 dmg. 66% if you convert the hide surge into damage.

I agree, not a "casual one-shot", but still very strong damage for a single attack.

As for hidden, it is bad by itself, but it is pretty good with shadowsilk cloak. It makes it limiting for the imperial player to target him.

Falling leaf= 2xp

Covert operative =1 xp

Shrouded lightsaber = 3 xp

Am I missing something?

I added the cost (500+250=750 credits) but forgot to mention balanced hilt

With shrouded lightsaber this means 4 Base damage without even rolling, since you start hidden and you have balanced hilt and high impact guard . Now with 1 green and two yellow dice the least amount of damage you can do with shrouded lightsaber is +2 damage(for a total of 6) with pierce 3. I mean, you really need bad rolls not to one shot an Elite E-Web, at least in my experience. And since you are taking Embody the force, Davith will start any mission with the ability to do 7 damage with Pierce 3 with his worst rolls.

Yeah Mak with No escape ends up being better as a single target damage dealer especially if he gets his armor, but Davith with holocron is not far behind.

There's no reason to restrict players to only the Core set heroes. The Core campaign missions don't reference them specifically, and the Core heroes aren't generally any less complex or easy to use than the expansion heroes, although it may be argued that the Core heroes are more powerful than the heroes that came out in twin shadow, Hoth, and Bespin.

You payed good money for those expansions, you should let the players use them if they want to.
