Pulsed ray shield thoughts
Still i would never replace an autothruster on a 3 agility ship. But I think it will be really useful on a Kihraxz

though a lot 3 agility ships never have an at anyway.

Omega Leader doesnt normally need or use a Modification upgrade. This would be stapled to the guy if Imps could take it.
Speaking of pulsed ray shield... this came up last game:
My Corran wanted to “double tap” Viktor Hel, who wanted to use his pulsed ray shield. Which thing triggers first?
We decided Corran’s ability would trigger first, as it says “at the beginning of the end phase”, and the shield says “during the end phase”.
Anyway I also had the initiative so I think even if both things would trigger at the same time, we did it correctly.
In fact, Corran did 2 damage into Hel, who was on 1 hull, so even if he had restored his shield, he would have died, but we spent some time thinking what to do...
What do you guys think?
You did it right.

3 agility ship with boost of course
PRS and Ion Dischargers...

Yeah, but allowing PRS for the empire would break the game for sure...
Feedback Array and PRS is a bigger concern, but none (neither) of the ships that can equip both actually want to, or can survive long enough when doing so.

And?

AND.... OL doesn't need to be harder to be killed, thought that was pretty obvious.

Design time lead is also likely a factor; Palp Aces were at the height of their popularity when the... Scyk transport was being designed, so the devs probably didn't want to make a strong build even stronger.

So Miranda was pretty strong when they designed Nym. That argument doesn't seem to hold up for all factions.

It also gives him access to a 1 straight via self ionisation. I know that in itself isn't game breaking but it adds another potential move and regen to OL which makes it a lot harder to deal with if he gets in behind you.

Which only works if he lost his one shield.
Look, I understand that OL would love to have this upgrade and it would make him stronger, but why is it always the Empire that is restricted from getting useful new toys while the other two factions get to run rampant? It just feels like the Empire is the only faction still playing X-Wing, while the other two are playing bad fan-service Mary Sue versions of the game. The Empire has no identity anymore, there is nothing that they have that nobody else has.

I would like to see this available to all 3 factions
Power Management (better name needed)
EPT - X pts
Side A:
Once when you activate you may do one of the following on this side of the card then flip
-remove 1 shield token, decrease primary weapon until end of round by 1(max 4), gain 1 ion token
Side B:
gain 1 shield token, increase primary weapon value until end of round by 1 (max 4), perform a free boost action
then flip this card

Exactly. And whatever we do have, is not enough.
"But the empire has the best swarms in the game"
There is too many hate cards designed to **** over imperials. New ordnance that doesn't spend TL, attacks with 4 dice, and deals splash damage? It's cost effective enough to bring it even when not playing against a swarm. Yeah, thanks.
We can't field more ships than Scum or Rebels, we can't regen, we can't do nasty tricks, we have very little synergy, seriously lacking in crew carriers AND options.
What is the Imperial Faction identity anymore?
It's not elite pilots, since scum seems to get more EPT-s (TIE/AG for example).
It's not arc dodging aces, since the other factions have their fair share of ships like that, Poe and Fenn Rau are both top pilots in that category (interestingly, we don't have a Dash-Rey-Dengar-Solo style ship or pilot that can be considered the equal of these, or a regening ship or upgrade. If it was our faction identity, the other factions wouldn't have access to it, or in a very limited form. ).
It's not swarms, because all factions can field 12 point swarms, not that anyone would. Our swarms are slightly better true, but nowhere near enough to count.
It's not cheap ships, since we can't field additional ships of a same role when compared to the other factions. Look at that Gunboat pricing. Imps are definitely not the cheap ship faction.
So what is it that we do?

Oh the Nostalgica...
I would like this, though I would go for a Weapon-Disabled Token instead of -1 Attack and 2 Ion Tokens (so large ships have to go slow too) Also I think it should be an Action (you do not focus while finding these hotkey on the keyboard).
Might need the wording (Up to your max shield value)
I don't totally get side A, Side be is the benefit side, you line up your shots activate that side then go. Do you have to do side A next round? Or can you do it whenever?
It is a cool idea and I like the dual cards in this game because they give you freedom to choose different tactics

We have RAC.
Though, we have a little of imperial only stuff..

RAC is not at the level of the other ships I mentioned. The others are better.

I'd disagree. He's differently good, but he should be able to beat most of them.
The thing Imperials really lack is a good turret wingman for RAC. Two fat turrets is goign to be a major part of the meta for a long time to come, but Imps only have one fat turret.

Fenn and Poe are not even similar arc dodger than Fel or Whisper.
You still have the best arc-dodgers in the game. The problem is that the game is crushing arc-dodgers.

We have the best arc-dodgers true, but we don't have the 3rd best regen. (I mean we do, it's not having any regen) Why? Why do rebels have access to our thing, when we don't have access to theirs? This is my problem. Either they don't have any arc dodgers, or we have some regen. They already have arc dodgers.
