LoR Overlord Deck

By Ceahorse, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Hey guys I just started a LoR campaign vs the following.

Tomble - Shadowwalker

Reinhardt - Beast Master

Ashrain - Bard

Dezra - conjurer

Considering which deck to build. What would you guys focus on?

Which might be your goto mobs for open groups

Thanks

Thinking to webtrap them.

Web trap effects the wolf and mirror images too right? U assume it doesn't effect the shadow.

Shadowmancer would work well against this group, and I always love using punisher cards like "trading pains" against the bard. Especially when the other hero you choose is an image. :)

Not sure how it benefits to play trading pains on the Bard, or the bards target, as most of the time the Bard will only heal one heart . I get that it's a free mirror image kill. But surely this card is better played on a disciple. Care to elaborate?

I'll study the shadowmancer.

Trading Pains gives the best ratio of damage to healing 1/1 with single heart events, as half of 1 rounded up is 1. In most cases with song of mending, that would mean negating of one hero's heal by damaging another by the same amount.

However, because the OL chooses the hero to be damaged, he can choose an image. This will destroy it and cause the conjurer to suffer a wound and a fatigue. If the conjurer was affected by Song of Mending, the net effect of the bard's skill on him becomes "suffer 1 fatigue". If he's out of range, it's even better- "suffer a wound and a fatigue".

Well that makes perfect sense. It's the little actions that make the big difference.

I sometimes am victim to skipping the small ops waiting for the big ones that never come.
