YMMV but I just spotted the new two-player starter on clearance at Target for $15. They had quite a few.

Is that good, bad, or just a thing?

Really just a thing Target does. They clearanced the X-Wing starters and that wasn’t a harbinger of anything last year.

They even mis-priced Funko Star Wars mystery minis for $8 to $5. They clearance random Funko stuff all the time and Funko is vastly popular.

Point being - Target can be weird.

I heard the discount happened after the CEO of Target read the Captain Phasma errata.

That is a great bargain and anyone who hasn't gotten them yet should. This just isn't the type of product target is going to carry on a daily basis and was part of force friday which is why they had them to begin with. Christmas shopping season is coming soon and self space is both limited and expensive. I wouldn't read anything into this other than the force friday stuff is being cleared out.

I’d bet their just trying to get rid of them to make shelf space before the holidays. They never had intentions of carrying Destiny product long term.

Must be in store only because Target's website still has it at full price.

Target in SW Minnesota still had it at $29.99...

In fairness, not all Target stores are the same. It could have been discounted in the one store he visited.
