For as much as I love Endor, I would hate to fly them T-47's in the trees. Porkins 2.0. So I'm going Tatooine for my first set of terrain.
I just ordered this set. $215 with 10% of code VAULT2017 "It's an old code" but it works. No pun.
A bit of money, but if you factor in the sweat equity of building and painting it yourself, not bad for an instant Tatooine.
Add temples and statues and it's Jedah, water and palms and it's Scarif....

I want to spend my time painting the minis not terrain. Time is money...but I don't have much time.
I rather give my minis the best attention.
I'm getting a few houses and vapos. but thats about it. I seen some reviews on the stuff and it isn't too bad. Jedah sounds good!!!
I don't suppose there's an American equivalent of that site? Or another one you guys could recommend? My crafts ability is 0.

This may be a stupid question, but couldn't you just as easily fly into the rocks? I mean, I'm favoring Tatooine too, because it feels like you wouldn't have to have as much terrain- it really suits that barren feel- but wouldn't you have issues of crashing into trees/rocks/whatever regardless?

You're first question....there is a few game mat companies in the states. I looked at most of their desert and I didn't like them.
Yes, you can pretty much crash into anything...but I rather fly speeders in a desolate desert than a dense forest like endor.
I think Y-wing bombing run would make more sense on endor. But I'm sure we can lay out terrain where they are more flyable on desert and jungle.
