He is a Human according to the book. What I find interesting is he's one of the few people in the galaxy who uses a slugthrower instead of a blaster. His rifle fires bullets made out of a cortosis alloy so if lightsabers attempt to block the bullets it would cause them to fizzle out and fail.

Well, he does have Cortosis armour and cortosis gauntlets, so why not go the whole hog? Also, the cortosis in the RPG has the effect of shorting out sabres entirely, not just resisting lightsabers. He can spend bonuses on his roll to cause a lightsaber to be inoperable until the end of the next round. For a Jedi character to no longer have their most powerful (and possibly only) weapon at their disposal can be pretty big. His backstory even talks about how he hunted Jedi in the Clone Wars, so he must be doing something right if he's still alive during the GCW.
