How about Deathrain + Bomblet? Poop it out the front or back, free barrel rolls... and he's got a system slot for the Trajeculator, too.

Cant have the crew and the title together, which isn't huge.... but now we have the new faq using genius means dicarding the bomlets.

Edit: then again you could add em to make it a 1 shot..... 5 forward and 5 forward launch is a lot of range if it is front guides

Probably won't for at least another two weeks, maybe three depending on whether they preview the Silencer or the Resistance Bomber first.

And Deathrain might use it but he far prefers Advanced Sensors.

The surprise ship (and character) that comes out of nowhere... Boba's son Dudebro Fett, in Slave I?

So far, every ability that has allowed a pilot to use bombs forward have had the "using the front guide" in their description :

- Constable Zuvio

- Deathrain

Specifiying that it can use the front buide is necessary because the rules reference clearly states to use the rear guide (so you need something to deviate from the standard). I don't see any rules reference card that comes with the resistance bomber either to provide a new definition of the word "launch". So while it may be cool to launch bombs forward, I see nothing that suggests that so far.

The resistance bomber is a box, it'll come with a rulebook, not cards, so the lack of cards means precisely nothing.

It also means the rules for launching will onyl be in that one set which is super annoying.

I'm sure that this is one of those instances in which "launching" will be added to the FAQ pretty soon after release.

I admire your optimism.

Well considering how the rules text on the Bombardier crew card specifically talks about dropping bombs and using a 2 straight rather than a 1 straight you would think that were trajectory simulator intended to only drop bombs behind you with the 5 straight template it would be worded almost exactly the same as bombardier. As it's not and specifically uses the word launch it seems more than likely that it is intended to launch bombs out the front of the ship it's on. It would be disappointing if it didnt.

The card text also specifically states you launch instead of dropping, so in theory it could be anything OTHER than dropping a bomb.

Well, the ship has just been spoiled and the mission manual has the definition for "launching" a bomb using the front guide of the ship. So that settles that question then: Trajectory simulator does "launch" the bomb forward.

Wow, it’s almost like FFG applied the most commonly used definition of ‘launch’ when they wrote the card...

To be fair FFG don't have the best track record when it comes to rules text and the English language.

Don't forget folks, you can be simultaneously touching but not "Touching" at the same time, so you can forgive a few who question their intention.

Having said that I agree this one was pretty clear.

Keep in mind, the clarification was necessary. Here is why: prior to the spoiler article which clearly states that you must use the front guide of the ship, what would you have told someone who wanted to "launch" a bomb backwards? Did you have any reason to believe that you could not do so?

I would have liked to launch the bomb both forward AND backwards. It would have been neat as I ran away or during the alpha strike part of the game.
