Sorry Fu Leng......as much as is pains me to have to do this to the Kami I serve I'm gonna have to stop you here. I'll let TLS slide because everything besides Tom Cruise was pretty great. However, the crapfest that was 47 Ronin with Keeanu I simply cannot allow that to stand.

I'm not really a fan of The Last Samurai. Ken Watanabe was great as usual, and it was a nice looking film, but the 'Dances with Wolves...but Samurai!' thing didn't work for me.
47 Ronin...well, some bits are nicely done. I have to give props to Keanu Reeves for flatly stating that the producers / studio behind the film should *not* have re-edited it to make him the main character, or made his character's love story a part of the movie. Reeves accepted the part with the understanding that he was just a minor character, and felt it lessened the film to make it into "look how awesome the white dude is!".
