Pretty much
Is FFG just trying to make up for the MistHunter?
Not to mention the generics - but the Mist Hunter's dial is probably better.
What is this rubbish.. The Kimogila looks like a really good ship. Solid stats with an awesome bullseye mechanic.
Not every scum ship has to arrive horribly overpowered. This new ship is better than the B wing for sure so enough complaining.
I think Dalan could be a nasty surprise; tool him up, give him a harpoon. team him with something that dishes out TB and your laughing;
"Oh silly Poe, you though the Black One could save you, PewPew Mother Fracker"
I didn't read the previous pages to see if someone brought it up, but with Torani's pilot ability, can an enemy ship, who has no focus or evade tokens, choose to remove no tokens? I'm 90% certain the answer is yes, but I just wanted to check
Dalan can hit like a freight train.
Dalan (25)
Veteran Instincts (1)
Harpoon Missiles (4)
Unhinged Astromech (1)
Glitterstim (2)
Guidance Chips (0)
Total: 33
Kind of pricey for the chassis, but he may be able to dish enough damage out to be worth it.

I have to say, I never really had much interest in Scum before but this new ship actually looks like it could be quite fun!

Best guess is yes but it will need FAQing to confirm intent.

My initial thought would be No, but that's based on my card game experience more than miniatures games. I'd be interested to hear an official ruling on this.
My initial thoughts? The ship seems well thought out and balanced mechanically, so of course there are many that are upset that as a scum ship it is not ridiculously overpowered.
Honestly, I want ships that are difficult to use, to challenge the flyer to become better, and really only shine with skilled player.

So... TIE Punisher.

Unless it has 3-turns, it's absolutely hilariously screwed. That's lambda-level terrible.
The TIE/D has 1- and 2-turns that are all red. So who knows. Maybe they expect the Unhinged to be used all the time, presuming it has the full range of turn/bank/straight 3s.
The Caligula Fighter is probably going to have a terrible dial, but keep in mind, it seems easily priced so that you can fit an optimal ordnance loadout, Deadeye, Guidance Chips, and anything else you need on three of the EPT generics. Combined with the bullseye arc, this is likely going to be way better than Deadeye Scurrgs (which I’m still not fully convinced of).
The question is, how will it compare to my ordnance benchmark? I’ve been using this list (link below) as a way to compare and determine the efficacy of all the other ordnance-based lists. If it isn’t better than this, it’s probably not that good.
I agree with others. The Caligula is actually balanced, and fair, and I’m happy to see Scum getting good ships that aren’t blatant power creep that leaves us all complaining and demanding an FAQ for the next several months.

Note that I said 'unless it has 3 turns'...
I honestly love the looks of the ship. So I will be playing it. The rebels are still my primary faction though.

Pair Dalan with these guys also;
• Dalan (34) - Enforcer (1) Veteran Instincts (1). Harpoon Missiles (4). Unhinged Astromech (1). Glitterstim (2). Guidance Chips (0)
•Serissu (25) - M3-A "Scyk" Interceptor Adaptability (0), "Heavy Scyk" Interceptor (2), Pulsed Ray Shield (2), Tractor Beam (1)
•Genesis Red (25) - M3-A "Scyk" Interceptor Veteran Instincts (1), "Heavy Scyk" Interceptor (2), Pulsed Ray Shield (2), Tractor Beam (1)

once again; this is a question, People are discussing why it could be good.

Which is fine, but it seems like, unless it's Jumpmaster-Broken, people say
everything
is DoA.
Even the sodding Gunboat.
Maybe @Celestial Lizards should change the title.....
Ok, here are some reasons why it could be an interesting ship:
- It has a torpedo and missile slot: long range scanners are therefore available (0 point upgrades are always a plus in my book)
- Missiles or torpedoes are fun, but not a requirement. At 3 attack dice and an ability that negates the use of focus and evade tokens, this ship can be very dangerous as is with few or no upgrades.
- In a straight out joust, this ship can cause a lot of damage.
- Both unique pilots, with VI, can cause problems for traditional arc dodgers with low HP. Being in that bulls' eye arc is scary. The barrel roll can be used to adjust and glitterstim to get a focus.
More importantly, most of these things can be accomplished while keeping the overall cost of the ship under 30 points. This means that 4 ship builds which include this ship is possible.
If the PS 5 generic is as cheap as I think it is (23 points) then it is a solid foundation in an epic match (a nice contestant to the 24 point TLT Y-Wing).
It's not an extraordianry ship, but it might just have a place out there.

Gotta give people time to adjust to new standards (which haven't even been clearly established yet). We're all very used to an atmosphere where it is very obvious what ffg broke, apart from Palp and mindlink apparently

In all honesty, the problem with the ship is that it seems like it's balanced. That's about it. We're so used to ships either being overpowered, or complete garbage, that an actual balanced ship seems subjectively inferior by comparison. The Kimogila is good. It has a strong ability that won't be easy to leverage. That's it.

That's true.
That said I think this beast is going to be just that: A true
beast
in its own right.
