I'd buy them too. Not sure if I would fly them, but I that is due to no time to play. Still buying though.
Happy Friday all. I got my 2x Guns for Hire from MM this week. Nice to have them even if I don't know when I can try out the new stuff.
I'm still at a loss for how to possibly fix the U-Wing.

I want to see a title card granting a new auxiliary arc, something that lines up with the swept back wings of the U-Wing. A full 360 arc doesn't quite fit the idea of a door gunner to me.
Then something along the lines of "When in Landing Mode when firing outside your primary arc add one HIT result to your roll."
Thematically it would represent the increased accuracy of landing mode with a little give and take since you lose the extra evade die in landing mode.
As far as pilots, the pilots from the Scarif scene in Rogue One and toss in Saw's Partisans as well. Oh, and K-2SO pilot and/or crew of course!

If there isn't an auxillary arc printed on the existing card, a title can't really add one on.
I would be OK with some sort of modification/title/whatever that allowed a 'door gunner' who fired out-of-arc at Range 1, attack 3, 1-damage-cap (effectively a single TLT shot at range 1) though, to represent crew-served guns being fired out the doors. Whether this is practical in a spaceship dogfight , on the other hand, is questionable, but hey, 'landing mode', right?

For the T-65, I think a couple of titles would work. I say a couple because you don't want to make it a more expensive, less capable T-70.
A good start for the U-Wing would be to rewrite the title card so you don't telegraph your zero speed k turn. It needs more help but it's a start.

Yeah, the U Wing is in such a weird place now that the Auzituck is out.
Straight up points reduction is an option, but I'm not sure getting it down to 21 points base is enough, and going below a T-65 seems like an inherently bad idea (also does nothing for the B Wing).
If all you wanted to do was get it on the table, you could go the Palp shuttle route: put out a really good double slot crew card with a Large Ship Only restriction - at that point you're competing with the Resistance Sympathiser and the Lothal Rebel, and a Blue Squadron Pathfinder is substantially cheaper than either of those, but I doubt FFG wants to do that: It's not really a fix, and it makes things pretty restrictive in terms of future development, and I think that Palp probably scared them a little - consider Jabba's near complete lack of an impact on the competitive scene. That said, it still might happen - the rebels do have some candidates, after all, and the "iconic character double crew card" has shown up for the other two factions, so... Maybe?
Beyond that... Well, it's not like it's so far away from being usable, the U Wing. A suitably powerful K2-SO pilot ability, possibly something regen related, would go a long way towards compensating for the chassis. Perhaps... PS8, with an EPT, once per round when your remove a stress token, regen a shield? It might basically be a single pilot ship at that point (or possibly two if they put out a double crew as above) but that would hardly be unique in X Wing: See exhibit A, Corran Horn.
could just adding this to the pivot wing title; "When you perform an all-stop, you may shoot out of arc, ignoring the range 1 attack bonus"

I'm gonna try some crazy lists involving a u-wing and some x wings soon so would love a boost to them!!
Also after watching rebels i may have to buy a U wing to mod like riders so will need more of them!!

I'd actually be perfectly happy if they threw in one or two from the Rogue One era, but otherwise stuck to some classics - Corran Horn in an X-wing would not be shabby, given the price discount he'd be facing, and Tycho would just be downright hilarious. Possibly with a stressbot. Or Keyan Farlander with the same, for that matter - shoot the stress away!

U-Wing needs better crew and something to distinguish it from the Wookie boat. X-wings... I am uncomfortable with the endless 'make them more agile, and in fact in doing so leave A-wings in the dust' type approaches. Better to just give them enough firepower (they already got agility, see) to be the ship of choice whenever you want no frills, no fancy tricks, just
more firepower

to end up being boost&barrel-rolling, white-K-turning monsters, you know? Let the X-wing take that crown. Heck, even if you break them stupidly, at least there's counterplay!
