I may run Mario Kart on 10th or 17th.

I'll decide which this weekend and post here.

100 point game. On 4th turn. 40 pints of reinforcements in starting area.

I will be late, but I should be there!

40 point Mario Kart Xwing on our standard track this Friday (11/10). Start at 7:30pm.

You have 40 points to spend on ONE (1) ship plus all upgrades. Lone Wolf is banned and ships cannot perform Cloak or SLAM actions (Cloaking Device and Burnout SLAM are banned). Small based ships only.

I'll post the rest of the rules in the next day or two on this thread. Should be interesting to spend an extra 10 points as well as with a few new ships and upgrades that have come out.

@Pretty Fly for a Jedi Is this your Mario Kart ship?

Dalan Oberos (38) StarViper (30), Push the Limit (3), StarViper Mk. II (-3), Pulsed Ray Shield (2), Virago (1), Advanced Sensors (3), Ion Discharger (2)

The clone viper could be more entertaining, since people usually bring ships with really good pilot abilities

Anyone going on Friday?

I'm gonna be there.

We are doing Mario Kart for sure. I will bring the track and gear to play. Remember we are trying out a 40 point ship (squad cost for one ship plus upgrades). Small ship base only. All other "Game Matrix - Mario Kart Rules" apply as used previously.

I'll post them here in just a minute.

Also, @Wedge1126 , that looks fantastic and you should fly it. I'm sticking with my boy, Snap.

I’m ready to go.

MARIO KART this Friday. Each player brings ONE (1) Small base ship only. Maximum of 40 squad points to spend with upgrades.

Same rules we have played in the past at Game Matrix.

GAME MATRIX - MARIO KART RULES:

1. During the first two rounds, no actions or upgrades may be used, no attacks made, and no damage or tokens can be dealt. Maneuvering only!

2. The track edge is treated as a wall. Maneuvers will be completed until they bump the wall (similar to a ship bump) then roll one red dice and suffer any effects. One the next turn, the player may attempt a normal maneuver, or perform a white reverse 1 straight or bank.

3. Re-spawning returns your ship to play with full shields and no damage, behind the most recently passed check-point. A check point is considered passed when the WHOLE of the ship base has FULLY cross the WHOLE of the check point line (no longer touching). Discarded upgrade cards are regenerated after each lap (not just ordnance; may find uses for things like Hot Shot Blaster, Lightning Reflexes, etc). Exception: Boba Fett (crew) permanently removes himself and another card from the game.

4. Bumping during a race is extra dangerous and causes each bumped ship to roll a red dice and suffer any rolled damage. Standard bumping rules apply (no actions or shooting the ship you are touching).

5. When a player's template or ship touches a power up token, that player draws a power up card. If a player already has a power up card, then they must discard it and draw another. Some are immediate effects, others can be saved and spent when that power up card dictates. A ship can only have one power up card.

6. There are three power up decks. The player currently in first (after their current maneuver is completed) draws from power up deck 1. Those in last (before their current maneuver was started) draw from deck 3. All others draw from deck 2. If you cross over two or more power ups in the same activation phase (or during combat with things like tractor beam, etc)... then you resolve each of them one at a time. Draw the first, look at the card and see if it's effect is immediate, if so resolve it. Then discard and draw the next.

7. You have 30 points to spend on a ship plus upgrades. Lone Wolf is banned, and players cannot perform Cloak or SLAM actions (effectively banning Cloaking Device and Burnout SLAM). Small based ships only.

8. Fixed Turrets shoot at each and every possible ship target, at PS12, range 1-3. Turrets roll 3 attack dice and turn one eye into a hit. Ships defend normally. Fixed turrets do not shoot through walls.

9. Track edges count as obstructions for shooting. So you CAN shoot through walls (it is just obstructed).

10. Deployment will take place behind the marked start line and will start with the ships with the fewest number of squad points, ties will be broken by pilot skill with lower PS placing first, further ties will be determined by dice roll.

11. Activation and combat phases use standard pilot skill (and xwing) rules.

12. The winner is the first ship whose base fully passes the finish line after the predetermined number or laps, determined AFTER the endphase. Ties are broken by furthest distance across the line after the end of the endphase, further ties broken by final salvo.

On the race course we are using, there is a thin yellow gate on the last turn prior to the finish line. It starts closed. When the first ship (or any template it is touching) contacts the thin red line after that turn, the gate is opened for others to pass. This is to help make close finished races exciting. The thin red line is NOT a check point used for respawning. It is only a gate trigger.

I have a similar one to this with just a slight change.

I am may be bringing 1 or 2 people with me. One is a friend from church who was very happy last Sunday when I asked him if he was interested in playing with us. In a conversation, both star wars and warhammer miniatures came up.

So I said, "Hey, you interested in playing Star Wars Xwing table top with me next Friday. A bunch of us are playing at Game Matrix on South Tacoma Way. We are planing to play an alternative racing style like Mario Kart."

His response was, "Really? Yeah I know Game Matrix. I didn't know you nerded out like that. I'd love to play if I'm not working too late. Been wanting to try Xwing for a while."

So. Don’t crush the new guy. Ok. Got it.

At least I didn’t come in last place. Whew.

How did it go
