Another trailer for TLJ

Doubtful that they're going to use "deleted" scenes at this point: A) the movie has been in the can for around a month, and B) fans have been pretty grumpy about being mislead by the trailers from R1 and TFA ("It's true. All of it.").

Hmm? Don't get your TFA reference.

I really don't get the Porg obsession. It's a beakless penguin, it's kinda uncanny and weird.

More of a puffin than a penguin.

It still won't sell more than a background shot of Boba Fett would...

This moment is probably happening during her training and is similar to Luke's experience in the Dagobah cave. To me, the way the trailer is edited makes it appear misleading.

It didn't hit me until the Falcon burst through the ground & fired on TIEs that Rey (presumably) is at the battle on Crait. Poe & Finn are there too. It may be the first time we see the trio together on screen.

I don't think Luke leaves the planet he's hiding on, despite being shown in the Falcon's cockpit.

There are some big oval shaped ships that look like Rebel transports in one shot. Do you think that's what they are, just Resistance era versions?

You don't know how much it's bothered me that Rey/Poe is a semi-decent competitive and almost thematic list in this game but they have ZERO WORDS OF DIALOGUE between them in TFA.

I am so glad that they are no longer resorting to use discarded concepts and ideas that Lucas didn't consider good enough!

Oh, wait...

Yeah, but like... That shot and set look rad as ****! What, are we now both criticizing George Lucas for the decisions he went with (prequels) while simultaneously criticizing those that use his awesome unused concepts?

Wow trailer, these scenes are so going to make the movie great. Just like the ones below.

Remember all these great moments in the last movie :P

That is a false dilemma.

Anyway, I comment on the almost null capacity of the sequel trilogy filmmaking team to create anything that is exciting. That is both new and interesting.
When it is new, it's lame. When it is interesting, it's something Lucas already did (and we saw, either in the movies, or in the countless "outtakes" compilations Lucasfilm has published over the years).

Can't wait for Luke to turn around to Rey and confess that actually he is the Joker, force choke her into a vat of toxic force infused liquid and have her become his new evil side kick through the Imperius Curse. Kylo then promises to finish what Vader aka Batman started, quoting to Leia that no one cared who he was until he put on the mask, just like Bat. . I mean Vader.

However, after a traumatic battle between Kylo and Luke, a stray bolt of UNLIMITED POWAH!! strikes Rey and triggers another flashback, revealing that actually, she is Darth Reven and all her memories and life on Jakku were fake.

Luke panics, the prohecy coming true, Rey's force powers erupt in a VERY Dragon Ball Super Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue Ultra Instinct kinda way and the film ends with all three facing off, God, Bad and Ugly style.

What a film.

Reading this gave me more enjoyment than watching the whole of TFA 10 times. Do you need a screenwriting job by any chance?

Would love one!

Maybe old man Luke will be a new crew card!

Someone needs to make this one of the "Meme Pilot" thread entries.

Luke Skywalker- Once per game, when an enemy deals uncancelled damage to your ship, discard this card to declare this attack to be yours against the original attacker.

"This isn't going to go the way you think!"

How much would an ability like that be worth? 10 points? 20 against aces like Fel?

It looks like Chewie is in the co-pilot seat. Maybe Rey is flying the Falcon or... Luke?!!

Personally, I think Chewie has always been the real pilot, with Han the co-pilot, but Chewie has always just let Han claim to be the pilot. As evidence:

1. When under attack, Han runs back to the gun turrets while Chewie pilots. After all, you'd want the better pilot on the controls in a stressful combat situation!
2. Despite the cockpit not being made for Wookies, Han has Chewie pilot the Tyderium when precise piloting is called for. If Han was the better pilot, why wouldn't he take the controls so Chewie could use the roomier troop transport area?

:D

More seriously, in all likelihood either seat can be used as the pilot's seat, but Chewie's modified that one to fit him better, so he always uses that one, regardless of whether he's pilot or co-pilot. Considering the point of a co-pilot is to be able to take over under any circumstance, it makes sense that all of the controls are accessible from either seat anyway.

I don't disagree with your premise and would go even further, suggesting that Lando was a better pilot than Han. BUT Han had more luck than that ol' gambler.

Please don't throw tomatoes! I prefer it if you threw pies.

Well, I guess the interesting part about how X Wing judges "good pilots" is "moves last-shoots first", so in real world terms that would mostly be "steely nerves".

The actual piloting is done outside of combat, therefore it is entirely possible that Han Solo as a "Pilot" is sitting in the Quad giving orders. Makes sense for Imperials like Chiraneau too.

Therefore, I'd say the "Pilot" reads more as "in command of the craft". So one-seaters are still piloted, of course, but the large ships are crewed by many and move according to the whim of a leader, not primarily the one behind the stick.

I'm all for Chewie piloting the falcon precisely because of this.
