Palpatine vs Greedo

By Szycha, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

I came into some interesting interaction

Palpatine with motivation Emperors figure to attack and kill Greedo.

After calculating damage and before Greedo is defeated he exhausts motivation to provide the attacker with one movement point which is spend as interrupt to leave Greedo LoS.

Any opposite thoughts?

edit. Actually I think, that it would be possible to exhaust Motivation after step 6 and before calculating damage.

When you attack you have to resolve the attack completely before being able to use Motivation. You either use it before declaring attack or after attack is resolved. During the attack/defense you can only use cards with "while attacking/defending" wording.

Yeah, just came into it :(

Right. "during an activation" abilities can be used before or after actions during your activation (RRG, page 2, abilities), but not during them (and not during other "during an activation" abilities, including suffering strain for mp, or spending movement points - but note that when moving by spending movement points you move 1 space at a time, so you can perform other "during your activation" abilities without ending movement).
