But seriously, the Interceptor is a way better base ship than the Kihraxz. It’s just a hunch, but I still don’t think Kihraxzs are going to be any better than Interceptors after this expansion.

That might have been a good sales pitch, in story but in X-wing miniatures that is telling you to don't bother.

i'm not saying the fix needs to be identical, for all intent purposes the Khirazx title is a copy of the RG title just improved upon, i personally have no problem capping the title a 2 mods and not even giving a reduction, but maybe changing the above 4 PS to 4 and above so that Saber Squadron can use it and maybe adding that the title gives an EPT slot if you don't already have one to help put pilots like Kir Kanos and Lorrir

*sniff sniff* I smell a lot of Imperial Tears in this room, and a lot of bad breath from Scum Pilots busy flaping there lips gloating about 3 mods. The real question is why doesn't the Rebels have some heavily modifiyable fighter or interceptor!

They mod their pilots, which makes many suspect some illegal experimentation with spice to give them superhuman abilities, particularly noted among the A-wing pilots. Investigative reports have come in that the Alliance is using drugs 10 times stronger than glitterstim. Stay tuned to Imperial Holonet Broadcast for more information. ;)

I REALLY like that 'No Shields All Guts' EPT. I think you could even make it zero points honestly in this meta. Might give the ol' TIE swarm a chance

3/3/3/0 with boost and bR hasn’t been good in a long time, especially with dial creep. FOs have it better. Soonts held on Mightily for as long as he could with one of the best pilot skills in the game. He’s almost laughable these days.

3/2/4/1 with an illicit slot, 3 free points, and 3 mods at “17” points is probably better and probably still not good enough but getting there.

Perhaps a way to fix the XWing. It was supposed to be the versatile workhorse after all, and that way perhaps there would be the slots to get close to some of the interesting eu variants.

I played against a Kiraz the other night and well, I was disgusted with just how many mods it had on it. Really competitive now in comparison to the overpriced and very fragile interceptor.

I would love something for the interceptor, especially the generics as I am fed up of having just aces or named pilots in the meta.. but I do have slight reservations as fighting against that scum ship was a bit crap in that the ship had SO many mods and effects I had no idea what it could or could not do as no way I was keeping track of all the super-combos it had going for it and I wouldn't want super combo card-stacks to continue to shape the game.

More dogfighting and less combo card stacks please.

To be honest, I would not mind a adaptive ailerons style title with the generic interceptors. Technical the striker does the job now anyway, for about the same price too. (18 vs 19 points with lightweight frame), but it would be still cool on the interceptor, especially if you keep the boost action, allowing to go for 1 bank, 2 turn, 1 bank boost in one turn and come around in a fast 180 curve, consuming all actions in the process.

But in reality you might as well just use your TIE-Interceptor models and play with the striker cards. :P The striker is basically just a modern interpretation of the interceptor stat-wise. Updated with sloops and basically better arc dodging action economy, while limiting offensive actions by only handling out in essence an advanced sensor boost. Imo a great update on the design and clever use of the design space created by what they learned in the last years about their own game.
