TIE mk II and AA/Ion and TIE mk II

By Celestial Lizards, in X-Wing Rules Questions

1: If you have AA And TmkII, is the maneuver/boost thing green?
2: If you have TmkII and you have an ion, is the ion green?

1. Adaptive Aileron specifies a white maneuver, so no.

2. Ion specifies a white maneuver, so no.

1. Actually, yes, it does. TIE MkII instructs you to treat all bank maneuvers as green, and since AA has you perform a maneuver MkII will affect it while performing a bank. However, there is currently no way to leverage this as you must be unstressed to use AA and nothing else the Striker can take triggers off a green maneuver.

2. No, because TIE MkII instructs you to treat banks as green while the ion maneuver is a straight.

@Innese I think you might be getting mixed up with the ruling on two effects changing the colour of a maneuver, which is where you use the "harder" one. AA and Ion specify the starting maneuver, so to speak, which can then be modified by other effects.

R2 astronaut and Nien Nunb work on the ion move. Per FAQ.

Here's another question: Can Ryad use her ability on an ion straight?

Ryad's ability triggers off revealing the straight maneuver, which doesn't happen when ionized, so no.
