So I'm attending a tourney this weekend and is having trouble figuring out what to play. Basically I will not do the bomb-route, nor any Fairship-derivate.

I've playtested a Rey/Miranda list that seemed powerful but could use some tweaking.

Both move at PS8 which is nice. I like the Segnor-title on the YT-1300 and with Expertise and Rey you get reroll and offensive focus for free when not stressed. Miranda did Miranda-stuff but I never actually got around to use bombs. On Rey I wanted to have a third option for actions, be it evade or boost. So I thought I'd try this.

I would gain better movement on Rey, in addition to seeing one dial. For the cost of hardhitting bombs if I get chased. I think it's worth it. Do you?

And then I thought, hmm, I could fit in a fun-to-play Poe instead of Miranda, but it wouldn't be as competetive.

I don't know if the local meta is full of PS10 aces, it isn't a big tournament, so dropping Poe to PS8 might free up two points. And then I could slap on the Black One-title if I droped Expertise for PtL on Rey. On the other hand if I skiped EU on rey I could fit in a 41p Poe, or a 41p Norra.

I prefer the PtL/Kanan over Lonewolf/Rey build.

I think there is too many variables to consider, and I don't know what I like to fly the most. I did custom paint a YT-1300 so I favour that over the YT-2400 but the dial on the YT-2400 is lovely and the 2 agility is nice. Miranda is kind of boring but superstrong with her 360 arc, where as Poe melts quickly if poorly positioned but more "fun" to dogfight with. And then there is Norra whom I haven't played more then once. Two arcs are nice, and 9 health to boot, compared to Poe's 6. What would you have picked?

Norra is fun, but that health goes quickly in today's game. This has been my go-to Rey/Poe build for a bit, if it helps:

Both Rey and Dash are good, but if you painted a nice Rey, then I would choose that over Dash. I would however run Rey without EU to get a better "sidekick".
Reguarding Reys "sidekick" I think Poe is not strong enough for compatative play with his weak offence.
Both Norra and Miranda are very good and effective ships. Both Norra builds are very good, but I do not like your Miranda builds. When Miranda does not carry actionbombs, then I would not put Advanced Slam or Sabine on her. I would run her with Long Range scanners and two of the following upgrades: C-3PO, Recon Specialist, Bomblet Generator and/or either Cruise missiles or Plasma tropedoes. I would build Miranda with TLT, Plasma tropedoes, Intelligence Agent, Bomblet Generator and Long Range scanners, which comes to 42 points.

Do you have Guns for Hire? You could load up Miranda with Harpoons and EM to throw some 5 dice missiles with her ability. And if you're not using bombs anyway, you wouldn't be losing much Miranda wise.

I think Miranda is far and away the best 40ish point wingman for Rey. Love Poe, really like Norra, but don't think either of them can hold a candle to Miranda. The default build would be TLT/Bomblet/Sabine/LRS. I've been thinking of fielding a non-Sabine version to allow Rey to have Engine along with Expertise. These are the two builds I like the most...

I love Dash Norra. Super Dash is no longer needed as Lone Wolf Dash is better but if you want to run super Dash at 58 points, you can run a 40 point Norra with vectored, R2D2, PTL, tail gunner, title. They also move at the same time.

Yo, I agree with Gennataos, Rey/Miranda is killer these days.
