I remember when I first saw Y-Wing Scum on the X-Wing forums because Scum and Villainy hadn't quite been announced and I found out he and I both liked the Scum-and-Villainy-type faction and we both liked Y-wings. He was super excited when Most Wanted was announced!

Haha it is an unfortunate combo from the Star Wars lcg. Y wings are my favourite ship from child hood. Bossk and Boba Fett are my fav characters. I also super love fantasy. D&d LoTR etc

Also TFC is my team. Whitecaps are second team. Either way Seattle is outr Bane

Nah, first X-Wing Worlds only had 24 players and that was (at the time at least) a simpler game with pre-assembled, pre-painted ships and the Star Wars brand attached to it.

I'd expect the numbers to grow as OP starts properly with Store Champs, Regionals and Nationals so people can practice there and get a taste for the competitive scene. Oh and the demon people with xenomorph cats get released.

Likely that gencon has other draws as well, not travel to wherever ffg is (Minnesota?) To play only their stuff. Why would I go there?

Definitely the location. As far as I'm aware, you have to pay for your own travel to get there, which pretty much excludes everybody outside the US (unless you've got money to burn, like Ben). Even then, unless you're a dedicated player, it's still going to be expensive to get there. I think that if they hold more regionals- and give help for winners to get to Worlds- attendance would be higher. ****, there's currently 21 people voting for dates for the UK regionals next year, and you can bet most of them would love to go to Worlds if it didn't cost so much.

Hopefully as the game expands and grows in popularity the tournament scene will also grow.

Yeah, I think, even for me in the GTA, accomodation + travel + food we are looking at near 1000USD, I have better ways to spend my vacation and cash than a game tournament, unfortunately. A board gaming con with the tournament tacked on; however, could be a more likely reason for me to end up there. So Gencon would have many points in its favour.

As far as what is and isn't censored, best to assume if it is even slightly, potentially gauche, it will be censored
