replacement debris fields

By mecra, in X-Wing

Hey guys. Any idea how I can get replacement debris pieces? I've seen asteroids on ebay, but no one seems to sell the cardboard debris fields.

Thanks

For tournament use, the only place to get them is through the expansion packs or if someone wants to part with theirs (either eBay or some other arrangement).

If you are not playing in tournaments or "official" events, just buy acrylics. They are the same shape and size as the original cardboard but more durable and work fine. Ffg has just decided they are not permissible product during an Organized Play event.

Where can I buy decently priced acrylics? The team covenant ones are 70 bucks for a set. O_O

I think on Amazon, you can get a set of the cardboard pieces for less than $40 . It even comes with a couple free miniatures and some assorted other extras!

Yeah, no debris in that box

Those are asteroids...

Was debris not in the original core? Even cheaper, then!

Come on fella. If you're going give piss-poor answers to a genuine question, at least have the courtesy to get it right before the third attempt.

Debris clouds come in the outrider and decimator expansions. And I'll be damned if I pay full price when I only want the tokens.

I know for a fact that the set I have came from one of the cores, since I've never bought a YT-2400 or Decimator. Did they change the contents at some point?

You just have to look at the picture of the link you provided - 6 asteroid tokens.

I’m surprised FFG doesn’t sell asteroids, debris, etc. separately.

I don’t think TFA Core Set came with debris.

Yeah, FFG would make a mint selling asteroid/debris replacements along with those epic ship bases and stands.

Please forgive me for answering based on memory.

That still doesn't answer where my debris fields came from, though.

Don't know, but the core sets have always come with asteroids. There are some debris tokens in the Raider (not allowed for normal tournament play, but used in missions and, I think, allowed in epic play). Oh and the 'cargo' token in the Shadow Caster looks and functions like a debris token.

You must have a Raider, or you got them from someone else. The information is here on the Wiki:

No, no Raider either. Hm...

Maybe one of my cores was used, and had extra pieces thrown in? (It happened one time when I bought a used copy of Eldritch Horror, and found out that it had two full expansions included).

Do you have the shadowcaster? It could be the debris for the rigged cargo chute

Just contact FFG (or more accurately Asmodee) they will likely just send you the replacement. They are surprisingly generous about that kind of thing. My friend got a used lot that didn't contain any of the cards or cardboard for the TIE Defender. They sent him the entire pack (no mini of course) for free.

The only Large-base ship I own is the Lambda, and the only Epic ship is the Assault Carrier (which is a relatively new purchase, when I've had the debris fields for some time).

No, I think a used set with extra pieces thrown in is the most likely answer at this point.

...though if I ever need replacements, I'll be sure to bump the YT-2400 or Decimator up in my buying queue! (I'll probably buy a Raider someday, for completeness' sake, but it'll be way at the end, as I don't much care for the ship, personally.)

No, debris only comes in the "why do even need this im just going to ignore it lol" and the "asteroids do not concern me admiral" packs.

The 2400 is a fantastic ship. Decimator will probably be a staple of Imperial meta again (it sort of always has but faded to some degree of late).

I don't have a Raider either... Yet. I actually like the looks; it's the price tag that scares me. Only reason I own a CR90 was I bought it used off a local player for $40. Still had the cardboard not punched out yet, just had some cards used for tourneys

Well if you don't want palps and the tie advanced stuff you can find a raider for about $50 .
