A Gunboat and His Friends

I really like the gunboat's mechanics, and I've been trying to find a way to get Major Vynder to work well with his ace friends. Here's the result:

Vynder gets a TL on the first round on whatever he's going to be nuking, and just reloads for the rest of the game, giving him continuous, 4-die modified shots at PS 9. Carnor is standard, and really exists as a late game ace. Maarek combos with Vynder to dish out the crits. It's not top-tier, but it seems fun.

That is a nice Vynder build. However, I think getting more ordinance on would be valuable, maybe Prockets or Clusters to close up range 1. I also think, however great GC is with unlimited ordinance, Advanced SLAM would end up being much more useful with repositioning and still actions.

Carnor is a classic, but, as is the curse with Interceptors, they can die tragically quickly. Take care there; I might consider Omega Leader in his place.

Maarek is an excellent crit deliverer for Harpoons. I don't think TIE Mk. II is necessary on him, as he won't be stressed often.
