Wait what??? Where can I find this info?
I'm assuming they're waiting till all the dates and venues are confirmed before they announce anything?
It's Pax Unplugged and all the badges are almost sold out. Talking about dropping the ball on this one.

Yeah, what? Very odd there was no announcement, badges for PAX unplugged went on sale forever ago, I'm surprised there are still any given how quick the other PAX events sell out, but Unplugged is new this year. It doesn't appear this event is tied to a specific system, so maybe there's some sort of format change? Either way, really weird.
It looks like Coruscant Open is going to be more than 8 players this year too. In addition to the System Open they're also running 'Hyperspace Qualifiers' Friday and Sunday at PAXU, anyone who goes undefeated in those also gets a Coruscant Open invitation according to the event info.

They did this last year too with the Endor Open. Announced it was happening at Emerald City Comic Con, and that you had to have a 4 day badge to attend, after all the badges had been sold out months in advance for the Con.
Their solution was some special arrangement for any X-wing players that wanted to get in; if you registered for the open, you were given the opportunity to buy a 4 day badge, even though the event had already been sold out.
Maybe they will set up something similar for this?
