Germany has declared this the "year of Reformation". The ironic effect of this is that everyone is so used to see Luther plastered all over the place the actual Reformation Day only adds to the massive pile, almost completely losing the uniqueness in memory.

Here, we set up a huge door on my campus out in the main open area, and we let people nail whatever they wanted to it! It was really fun, and lots of people were like “it’s the 500-year anniversary of this? Why wasn’t there more for this?”

There’s a lot of Lutherans here in the American Midwest, so I think most people here are also kind of Luther-ed out this late in the year! Plus, it’s also Halloween, so a lot of people are just busy with that!
