Eh...even with crackshot, which is a one-time use, 'true swarms' just can't seem to land hits anymore. Even with blocking, things like BB-8 or Adv Sensors to Intensity, or basically anything+Expertise, means there are plenty of pilots attacking and defending with decent mods that don't necessarily need to fly well.

But those are separate points. Swarms can hit again because we see ahuge amount of 1 and 2 agility ships.

What, really, has 3 currently? Vader and the rare Inq. But Fenn is out, Soontir has been long gone, Corran is only flown by Nathan Eide, A-Wings are out, Interceptors are out, Defenders are still around now and again. The Starviper might show up. But they are relatively rare, the majority flies 1 or 2 agility. (edit: Wookies are a problem though)

The other point you make is true to some extent - blocking isn‘t as strong anymore. But the Bumpmaster is still feared for his block, so why not TIEs?

We will fix it by removing it. It can't be broken if it isn't there, right?

Do you have to add anything at all or are you just spamming your salt around 24/7 now?

You really do like seeking out my posts don't you.

FFG miss the opportunity to make a nice box for the 40 years of star wars...

Hope to see a box with X-Wing and Tie Fighter one day !

I think 4 Wookie Liberators say a firmer no. If the whole swarm rolled perfectly at R2, they'd be lucky to get a ship off the board. Nym also says no, despite his genius nerf.

If you're flying against 4 liberators and you're jousting them head to head where they get reinforce against you're entire swarm, you deserve to lose

Absolutely, but the question arises - is it even possible to avoid a 180 arc with a meaningful number of ships? I could see 1-2 of them o a flank working, but any more and you could just turn the wookies to face them.

Swarm would have to get to R1. 3 unmodified reds vs 1 green + evade from reinforce for TIEs and 4 unmodified reds vs 3 greens plus evade for Wookiee.

But you’ve got more TIES. You block a Wookiee and deny him the reinforce action, things start with to look better.

Crack shot on a couple of them, even more betterer.

I think the matchup between the PS1s will come down to initiative - whoever gets to block will win the game. I think the wookies will have no problem killing a Tie a turn (what list doesn't...) and the TIEs will take 2 turns to kill a wookie, so it's up in the air.

Have you flown one since the latest FAQ?

I would wager more than half the issue with swarms is the number of people willing to actually put them on the table. Last time I saw a full fledged swarm in person it won a 60+ person event.

It really depends on what you are facing. IMO 2 dice atck still cant pierce some defense. And like others have pointed there is harpoon missile now. It will probably be one of the most used missile/torp. It's cheap, it doesnt use the target lock and it's effective vs both single ships and formations.
