How come Guns for Hire didn't come with a mission in it?
No Mission in GfH
Because ffg is not as interested in developing missions anymore. Apparently not enough of us play them.
The Upsilon shuttle likewise came without a mission. The U-wing one was basically a deathmatch with a single ship deploying differently.
Too bad, I thought they were a good idea and added flavor.
If the Tie Silencer doesn't come with a Mission I'm going to go on a rant about how they jacked the price for no reason...

I'm personally hoping for some new tournament legal obstacles. Got to fill the box with something cheap to produce but fun, right?
I play them with my Son since he doesn't want to do regular death match and it allows me to fly funny builds and different ships.
Same here. Was pretty ticked with the Upsilon didn’t get one.

For that matter, taking 'meta' lists can screw you over badly if you think what wins a normal game will win a scenario easily.

Well, with this seeming to be a trend, and with the latest interview it being stated "all we got time for is ships," I suspect Narrative X-Wing is dead (not that it got much in the way of life support before this).

Rephrase. Officially supported narrative is dead... And no, it never got much support to begin with.
It'll be a real shame if the developers have given up on missions, I really enjoy playing them.
If they do stop putting them in the expansion packs I hope that they release them as downloads on the site, or even as a book that you have to pay for.

How would that be different from any of your other posts?
I do like the missions becasue the ships come with other tokens, a more mission based X-wing either league or tournament scene would be fun since it would allow other ships to shine and make you think of your list differently.
