Well, at least for a year it will only be something you have to worry about when playing against Crane.

Can I get the text on Kabuki Hero? I can see he gets +2 mil by paying a fate, but what's the least sentence? Something about political is all I can make out.

Action: Spend 1 fate - this character gets +X Military until the end of the conflict. X is equal to its Political skill.

The Kabuki Hero is crazy good, give him a fancy dress and spend a fate to make him a military powerhouse.

Feels bad to be Dragon. Our cards are so terrible compared to these massive bombs coming out for others. I get more excited at seeing what I can splash than what is actually in clan for me.

Sensei would've been interesting, but I've got a year to go before I can be a Keeper.

Eh, fair enough. I haven't played Dragon, so I can't really tell you what. Jade Finger is a pretty cool attachment for Dragon too. I think we're all hurting for more dynasty character right now, though. Except maybe Phoenix. We need more good shugenja, but we got our 5-cost right off the bat, and she's solid.

Yeah, been running Voice of Honor to great effect, catches people off guard, and Jade Finger as well. Unfortunately, I'd rather an event that could cancel an ability than having to telegraph where my protect is going to be, and it is not safe itself from being stolen or discarded by a card effect.

I think everyone should be looking forward to Censure!

Well, we can turn people into Monks with our attachments essentially, since our Kiho, Ascetic, and so on count on people with Monk attachments as well. I'd like a 3 cost monk to pair with our more expensive ones with a good ability. Seeker is nice, but I want one that is immune to assassinate.

There was a monk spoiled, Itinerant Philosopher. Unfortunately he's crap and highly unlikely to every see play for any reason.

As far as the sensei goes, while I agree that we need more characters for the dynasty deck, I really don't think the sensei is that great, as most of the time either his ability will target himself, or he'll get assigned with someone just so he can target them with his ability. On top of this, he doesn't make them immune to your opponent's events, he makes them immune to events period. Big difference there, meaning you can't target them with banzai, or court games, or any other events that you might wind up needing to win the conflict, all you can do is hope attachments and abilities on the board are gonna be enough.

Oh yeah, that guy. Dragon seems unlikely to have the favor easily enough to discard it, and his targeting restriction isn't great.

Looks to be from the 4th pack. Sadly, it's not very good.

I really want Togashi Mitsu. Thing is, he'll have to be fantastic to replace Yokuni (if Mitsu is a 5-coster).

But with a High Kick event , you can potentially bow TWO characters. Then again there probably is a cheaper monk out there for that.

I saw a spoiler for the next pack showing a monk included. It's a 1/1 for 1 called Shrine Maiden, with a reaction that when she enters play you get to reveal your top 3 conflict cards, keep any spell or kiho cards, and discard the rest. Granted, she's a Phoenix character, but cheap to add for only 1 influence.

There's only 1 kiho at the moment.

Yeah, I'm testing 2 of her in a Dragon control deck that splashes Phoenix.

The current version is: 2x the new Phoenix Monk, 3x Seeker of Knowledge, 1x Display of Power, 1x Embrace the Void. The new 1-drop conflict monk helps make High Kick worth including as a 2 or 3 of.

The deck aims to mess with the opponent's character's Fate and cards in their hand. It will use both the Kitsuki Investigator, the new Kitsuki unique, and the upcoming political duel that ditches a card of the winner's choice from the loser's hand. Also included: 3x Togashi Kazue (the one time I've made her work with Embrace the Void was beautiful), Meditations on the Tao, and I'm torn between Feast or Famine and Night Raid / Restoration of Balance.
