System Open Prizes
I hope one of those is imperial boba/firespray.
the damage deck sounds really cool to.
Am more interested in seeing what that pin looks like.
It is also the Mandalore Open so the mat that they will be selling there will be of Mandalore.
Also all the Bounty hunters from ESB are represented, except Zuckuss....
Wait, what is this from? We've had the prizes announced already?

Fair! I just always assume they are together
...still no official announcement?
We haven't even had the event announced yet, thanks for posting this! I'm excited about the Boba Fett damage deck and really want to see the mat image, hope it's not terrible.
The conundrum builds...we have a place, date, time, and now prizes unofficially announced. There's no way at this point this isn't happening because otherwise FFG would've denied it and cleared this all up so people don't spend money to travel. Although it's still not OFFICIAL because FFG has not announced this at all yet either.
WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?!?!?!?!?!
(I'm glad I've already decided to not go anyway so this isn't worse at least for me).
Yeah I've been waiting for a UK date and venue for a while and not heard a peep.
When are participation prizes given out at events like this? During registration or after playing?

At Naboo they did it after checking everyone in.
What's Hangar Bay format?
Does anyone know the locations for the various System Opens?

Do you know if the mats will be available for purchase at the event?

Yes I believe that they will.

Ah, okay then. Guess paying someone who is attending PAX Unplugged to go and register for the participation prizes and playmat wouldn't work then.
I’m surprised no one has posted the pics of the Silencer and bomber on here yet.
Was this information about the system opens received at the same event where the models are being showcased? I may just be running the two events together in my mind although they are seperate.

WELL as a matter of fact at Naboo there was someone who did exactly that and then left basically giving their first round opponent the free win (Me to be exact)

Immediately after thinking about the logistics of doing that, I did think "Well, that leaves someone with a bye or a round with no opponent." But then I thought "Eh, those prizes are gonna be highly in-demand on Facebook groups, Reddit, and auction sites. I imagine FFG doesn't care if people play or not, so long as they pay."
I don't even particularly care about a ton of Bounty Hunter promos, but one of the guys in my group is a huge Boba Fett/Mando fan, so I started thinking about how to get some of that stuff. I just messaged him the prize list and his immediate reaction was "Wait, how do I get that?" I told him that he doesn't, unless he's gonna take time off work to drive up to Philly at the end of the month.

Hangar Bay format is a special side-event. You build two different 100 point squads, and cannot share upgrades between them, so if your first squad has PTL then your second squad cannot use it. Before setup, you designate squads as #1 or #2. After seeing your opponent's list, you each secretly pick your squads by setting a dial to either a speed 1 or speed 2 maneuver, then revealing your choices at the same time.

That sounds fantastic! Seems like it would be a lot of fun!
Looks like this has been pulled from the website. Hopefully FFG puts out an article about it soon. I really feel bad for cascade on this.

I played it at Endor, and it's a blast. The dual squad format also allows you to play a bit more with your squad building and cover your weaknesses. If one list is weak to turrets, your other list can be one that's strong against them.

Agreed, Hangar Bay is one of my favourite formats. You can switch up your tactics on the fly and can help avoid hard counters, but just as importantly it means you're not tied into a single build for the duration, and can mix things up a bit if you want a change.
