I'm normally a rebel pilot, but decided to branch out a lot since Guns for Hire. I'm addicted to Intesnity Guri, probably my favorite scummer to fly now. I would love to have Guri and Echo in a squad.. but hey, factions right.

This is my idea for something annoying... I plan to slow roll, bank a few shields to give Tel some insurance. I would love to fit in rerolls, but I will have to try and live with old-school focus/target lock setups... with 20 points remaining I was wondering what I could do... so I decided, since I got limited rerolls may as well have a quad-jumper troll the enemy! Block/Tractor beam jank!!! It may work once before he dies, but once is better than none.

Opinions?

Why does Guri have Intensity? The net result (barrel roll, Intensity Focus, get to range 1, Guri focus, spend 1 focus to refresh Intensity) is the same as without Intensity (barrel roll, get to range one, Guri Focus).

I don't really think Tel needs VI; with his 360 arc, I think something to help his offense would be more valuable, such as Predator - which is also the sort of thing Guri could use.

I agree that Unkar could die fast, but I think he serves in that way as a Biggs-like figure, because if he isn't killed he will be very annoying.

However, I do not think that this list can push through enough damage. Guri could very well need her focus for defense, Tel has limited mods, and Unkar really can't deal damage. The list is full, so the only way to provide this would be to cut some things; what that might be is up to you.

Guri - barrel roll triggers intensity, gets and evade. stays @ R1 of enemy, gets a focus. starts combat with focus/evade @ R1. Guri has been my MVP on Friday in 4 games, dealing the most damage and being very survivable. The lack of target lock is disappointing, but having focus/evade really helped keep her alive, and deal damage when needed.

The lack of damage modifications for Guri/Tel is a problem for sure, but that is why I'm looking at the QJ, even if I can drop one token on an enemy ship in this 1-2 agility meta that could mean the difference between getting an extra hit through or not.

You have the same concerns as myself for sure. Lack of dice mods. What about a score to settle or fearlessness on Tel?

ASTS would definitely help out Tel, freeing him up for a TL. And honestly, he doesn't much care about the crit. Honestly though, I'd be tempted to trim Guri, to get some beef on Tel, ie Predator.
