party bus, assaj, ketsu, a pair of cruise/harpoon missile launchers, guri.... The beauty of scum is that it was never short of combo's, it was just a case of what worked "best" seemed to be head and shoulders above

Given the points you have spare you could even use ps10 minefield mapper nym with 2x clusters or proxy mines to protect dengars right with enough points spare for a tlt and em.

I feel your pain, and offer you a solution we came up with for a friend who was simply jonesing to run full-blown Dengar (loved the towel-head from books I guess) before the near nerf hammer hits (deadeye, Manaroo, etc.) even happened; we all knew he was sick broken from the get-go. Here's what we did, we gave him two options: 1) he could run Dengar and load him any way he wanted if he used the Lambda dial instead of the crazy one he came with, or 2) he could run Dengar without his Title or any secondary weapons. Taking one of these options worked pretty well as it took him down to a respectable level with the rest of us flying jank in comparison; which, in comparison to the Punishing One, everything else was at the time.

That's a bummer, but the Jumpmaster was a degeneratively undercosted ship that dominated the meta for an entire season, was hit with four nerfs, and still continued to define Scum's top builds for over another year.

In my opinion, for what it's worth, the nerf doesn't do much to affect Dengar's raw power. Losing the astromech slot isn't that big of a deal, it just means he won't have Green 3s -- while that is a big reduction in power he still has one of the best dials in the entire game (on a large ship no doubt), the best PS available, arguably the best pilot ability in the game (attacking twice nearly doubles his value), and some of the best upgrades available, thanks to Scum's crew and illicits. In my opinion, he is still undercosted and will still help define Scum builds.

The C-ROC is a cool ship, but unless you play Epic (which I highly recommend!) I wouldn't pick it up. The Scyk is still a decent ship, but it is overshadowed by some truly and absurdly exceptional other options in the Scum faction.

I would prefer an increase of points. Seriously, this game is going to need some reprint stuff or something like. I have more cards with printed errata than the original one!! Feel like to play a proxy game anytime. And I can't immagine a new player who deploy a list and "uhm, no that doesn't work in that way/ mmm nope, there's an errata of it/ wait, there's a faq on that.."

Seriously, wtf? It works with 2-3-8 cards, but now?

lol no you don't. Don't exaggerate. There are still only 30 cards with errata and only about 10 with meaningful balance changes. There are hundreds of cards in the game, if not thousands.

No the M3A was Ok before now its a powerhouse.... If you are a good pilot 5x M3A mangler list is a lights out list against most things. (I sing this lists praises constantly)

I did not have issues with the jumpmaster but lots of people did apparently, the nerfs feel a little to heavy handed. Time will tell.

Definitely hundreds. Thousands isn't right. Not plural anyway but i think we're approaching 4 figures?

My builder shows 327 upgrade cards not including G4H, but including hardpoints, cargo, and teams from Epic. Probably close to 300 pilot cards across the 3 factions so most likely we're close to or just over 600 cards for the game.

It will force players to fly better and add an option to block R2D2 carriers to deny regen. It will change some things with how one plays Poe or Corran but not the world.

Too bad you are wrong. Get good. Win with real ships that don't need 6 nerfs.

I hear you. The nerfs are tough on anyone who doesn’t have the time/money to keep up with everything.

If it’s any consolation, Dengar with the Punishing One title, Recon Specialist, and Predator is still going to be a pretty good build (or K4 + Expertise. Up to you). The nerf balanced Dengar a little bit didn’t destroy him. It really just got rid of the triple-Jumpmaster list.

For your second question, the C-ROC is good! You should definitely get one. You won’t regret it!

I think JM5K's that arent Dengar will see more play with the title. They dont really care about the arc, so a mindlinked manaroo or expertise scout with K4/Dengar crew can go anywhere it wants, not caring about its arc. Not a bad ship for like 41pts, a 3PWT with full mods is still scary.

The worst you can do from that perspective with astro and crew is R2D2/Nien Nunb which isn't exactly causing massive issues. And Rebels have Kanan crew anyway to make dials pseudo-all-green without needing Astro support.

Regen as a mechanic has its own issues, but that's kind of beside the point unless and until it becomes a meta-dominating issue. Which it very well might.

Hence my admittance that it could be argued scum had the better crew and astromech upgrades.

Whilst I get your point, and I agree that most upgrades that grant free actions etc should have a bump clause, anyone flying Corran or Poe already fear bumping like the plague. Those pilots being tokenless can mean a very quick trip to Hades. Good players using these pilots avoid bumping at all costs, so this wouldn't change much.

That being said, I don't feel R2-D2 needs a nerf right now, Poe and Corran need to run when taking heavy fire, and don't have enough green moves to really abuse it. The ARC-170 has more greens but also takes a lot more damage due to low agility. Artoo is basically useless on a Y-wing.

R2-D2 is certainly strong, but not game breaking. We may see more of him now after the FAQ and before gunboats, but he's not been a top table upgrade since munitions became king. The cost of flying slow on Poe and Corran is restriction enough, only Miranda can regen with relatively no drawbacks.

I’m calling this one too: Miranda’s +1 damage in exchange for a shield or -1 die to regen a shield will get tied to her primary weapon.

We have already started proxying the FAQ at my LGS and Dengar is still strong. With Expertise and K4, he is still potent, and that dial and PS barrel roll still allows him the repositioning he is known for to line up those revenge shots. I've seen people switching to 4-LOM crew and using ion dischargers to good effect.

As an avid Falcon pilot, I'm still envious of the Jumpmaster's dial and native barrel roll, these features should be overlooked.

The Scouts are no longer useful as gunboats, but as we may well see some aces return to the fray, their usefulness as blockers could prove effective. 'Bumpmasters' have been a thing for a long time, just lost their usefulness next to a 33pt nukeboat. Intel agent or boshek with APL or Ion Projector will be a nice little pawn for 28-29pts, much better than the U-wing which seems to have been designed around being a blocker. A friend of mine said the other day that he might try Cad Bane on a JM5K with scavenger crane and use it as a bomber. The ship itself still has good options to build with, it just has less than the plethora it used to have, and will no longer plague the rest of the hangar which is good for overall enjoyment of the game.
